This place has charm. This place has class. This place has history. I loved it. I stayed here on a tour of some of NYC theater history and here is where one of the piano players wrote songs for some of Broadways hits. He had...More
Well, lets see. They have only one elevator, so be prepared to walk. They won't tell you until the day before you arrive. The stairs are steep and narrow, dangerous for the elderly in my opinion. They did away with room service, few in room...More

I stayed at the Algonquin last week. While the hotel has its charm, my stay was well below expectations. There is only one small elevator in use for both guests and service staff. The wait time for the elevator was approximately 15 minutes. Often, hotel...More

Pros: great service, fantastic bar (try the signature drinks), great customer service, historic hotel, the lobby cat. Cons: Small rooms and noise due to being a historic hotel.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
