Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We seek out independent roadside hotels and motels that have been upgraded and Arizona Sunset Inn was a winner. Comfortable beds, nice towels, and clean with a refreshed decor. Breakfast was home-cooked and though they used disposables, kudos to them for using paper products instead of Styrofoam like the big chains and having a friendly face in the breakfast bar to prepare food. Their approach likely cuts down on food waste as well, so again, kudos!

What a gem this place is! We found friendly and helpful front desk folks, delicious homemade breakfast (thanks, Paul), well maintained clean rooms, comfortable beds and very reasonably priced. We even saw sand hill cranes flying over the parking lot in the early morning. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in Willcox.

In a small town with several accommodation options, the Arizona Sunset Inn was a pleasant surprise - comfortable bed and pillows, and spotlessly clean. Included breakfast was 'made to order' but still served quickly, and efficiently. Our two night stay was enjoyable.

We had a very pleasant stay here. Everything is clean and bright. Great beds, quality linens, big tv’s, well thought out. Decent breakfast and friendly employees. If they just added some art work (I’d suggest black & white photos of the area) , the rooms would be perfect.

There is a reason why this is the number 1 hotel in Willcox: revamped rooms with laminate floors, refrig, microwave and Dish TV; a hot cooked to order breakfast; attentive management; and an old friendly dog ready for pets. We went to see the crane migration and were delighted with our stylish basecamp: AZ Sunset Inn

We stayed at Arizona Sunset Inn on our trip to Wilcox. It is a nice property. It has a retro design. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have an excellent hot breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. It was made fresh to order and it was really good. I highly recommend this hotel. It is clean, comfortable, and has a terrific breakfast.

We went to Willcox to see the sandhill cranes and visit the Chiricahua Museum and National Monument, so decided to spend the night there in order to take it all in. I was very pleased with our choice of motel. The room was clean and comfortable, had a fridge and microwave plus they served a hot breakfast in the morning, but I would recommend getting your coffee at the cute little coffee shop right next door. The motel receptionist was very pleasant and helpful telling us where to find the cranes at the golf course which was just about a mile away. We had a spectacular time watching the cranes for a couple of hours before heading to Isabellas for a scrumptious dinner. Having this comfortable spot to stay topped off our lovely little getaway.

This in-town motel has clearly been upgraded. The bathroom was small but well designed, the bed was fine, and the fridge, microwave, and especially the cooked-to-order breakfast were welcome features. The room was small and plain, with just a single (desk) chair and no closet. Housekeeping for a three-night stay consisted of replacing used towels. The bathroom wasn't cleaned and the floors remained gritty. I liked being in town, though the former shops and businesses on the main street are mostly closed.

What an absolute treat! This family- run motel has been updated and refurbished. Our weeknight rate was $124 after tax, and included a FULL made-to-order breakfast. The rooms we booked were spotless and the staff was wonderfully helpful. You can walk to local restaurants and shops in downtown Willcox and are 30 min from Chiricahua National Monument.
