Almo Inn, presently excellent lodging! First class accommodations! Plenty of peace & quiet! We enjoyed City of Rocks, welcomed and given a guided tour with the delightful and informative Staff, Josh & Maple Monk. Also, on our night of arrrival we enjoyed a delicious steaks w/ a baked potato, salad and "Pioneer Pie.." across the way there (I believe same...

The couple that run this place are awesome. We got into town late not realizing how remote the area is. The place looked closed up for the night, but when we called the hotel's phone number, the owners drove in from their home and set us up. Even gave us some rolls to snack on, we must have looked hungry....

Had the reservation for a couple of months, was told the key was in the room. Left to visit family at a local ranch, came back to go to bed, and there was someone in my room. Had to spend the night in a vehicle, because there is no one on the property to talk to, and no one to...

We visited City of Rocks National Reserve just outside of Almo, ID in August. Lodging in the very small town of Almo was practically non-existent. The Almo Creek Inn was the one choice. But the rooms looked very nice on the internet, and they seemed to be tastefully decorated and well appointed. When we got there, we were very pleased....

My boyfriend and I stayed one night, it was bitter sweet, we were in town for a funeral, and it was also my boyfriends birthday, room 8 was absolutely perfect, comfortable, cozy, incredibly clean, the jetted tub was awesome, I love that there is not a TV, we were the only ones there so we walked around and peeked in...

It would come as a surprise to travelers, that an unassuming appearing establishment as the Almo Inn, could offer such spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms. The furnishings are "Rustic," but this doesn't mean uncomfortable; quite the contrary! The Beds, sofas, and kitchenette furniture are all quality, and the bathrooms are exceptional: Jacuzzi bathtubs, and copious hot water. We had a...

We stayed there a couple of weekends ago while driving through the City of Rocks area which in itself of phenomenal. But the motel room (unit 10) which was two story, had the most comfortable beds ever. I will go back to find out the make of the mattress so I can buy it for my home. My son and...

My husband and I rented a cabin for 1 night while we visited City of Rocks in April. After a long day of climbing Jackson's Thumb, we arrived at Almo Inn around 7:30PM. There were no cars (employees or guests) in the parking lot. We found out that they close at 6:00PM on Sundays, but some phone numbers were listed...

Stayed in unit 10 that sleeps 8-10 persons. Clean, modern and comfortable. Rates are very reasonable. Does NOT have a TV, but has free wireless. Close to rock climbing and hot springs areas. Great views.
