I was back in Mammoth Lakes only for a night and needed a room. Tamarack was priced perfectly and even though I didn't know what a cool place it was I booked it. This historic lodge is my kind of funky experience. If you like older buildings and don't expect angle to be square

We fell in love with this place, and wished we could have stayed longer. It's a lovely, rustic cabin style lodge, the rooms have stunning views of the lake and there's an open fire in the lounge. The staff were friendly and helpful, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Dear Moocow87, Thank you very much for taking the time to review your recent stay. It was very nice to read about your lovely experience in your accommodation and with our staff. We certainly have a perfect location, so we take a lot of pride in providing the same level of guest service and it's always nice to hear that we are following through on that goal. We hope to welcome you back soon! Kind Regards, Michael Peckenpaugh General Manager

This past July my son & I ...after 6 months of planning to hike the John Muir Trail (211 miles) were just a few days from flying out to Reno to start our adventure. Our fist night in the Sierras was going to be at Tamarack Lodge on July 27, 2018. Our 23 day hike coincided with

Do you have a shuttle to the Bluesapalooza venue?
No, I was driving my own vehicle.

There is definitely a shuttle back and forth from town Bar is very small but incredible bartender that has amazing specialties including some mixed drinks that ferment for 30 days before serving The bar is in the lobby and they have an incredible piano guy there on special occasions Not sure on hours but I would guess 10 for restaurant and 12 ish for bar- but check with the lodge to confirm

I'm not sure what portion of the road you mean. It it is to the main Mammoth Lodge ski area it is open year around, plowed in the winter for skiing. If you are asking about the road down the canyon from mammoth Lodge to Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile it is not plowed and opens in the spring, usually May or later. The big 2017 snows could delay that a lot. Check with Mammoth Ranger station, (760) 924-5500 Their website currently says it is closed.

The winter would be very difficult for navigating a wheelchair around the property. The Lodge has no ramp (summer or winter).
