This is located right next door to an old Fort State Park that was part of the Triage of forts to protect the Straits of Juan De Fuca. It is Whidbey Island Fort Casey, Marrow stone Island Fort Flagler and Port Townsend Fort Worden. Each old has turned the old officers quarters to places to stay. Fort Casey is at...

Stayed at the doctor's house which offered a bit more quiet and privacy. House had everything we would want for a short stay including authenticity. 2 bedrooms (small queens each) and a share bath all on 2nd floor. Probably fine for couple with 2 smallish children or family. Pretty cozy setup. Fire stove in small main room downstairs. Small kitchen...

We stayed at the Inn for a family get away. Everything seemed to be outdated. It was a nice place to stay but needed some tlc. We at least got see how the soldiers lived. Outside of going to Fort Casey State Park there wasn't anything hung to do within walking distance. Coupeville was the closest town but was a...

We stayed in Unit #5 South. #1 South is in better shape. The Good: Comfy beds, beautiful location, had shower, folks in North unit were quiet, fun front porch with amazing view and two nice chairs, dishwasher, good storage for bikes and luggage, well ventilated, good lighting except for kitchen, minimum bugs, good access to ocean & pool & and...

breathtaking view in this historic but well maintained row of cottages. We woke up to abundant sunshine in the east facing windows and spotted a deer. Spent the evenings watching birds while the kids played in the yard overlooking the spit. Short drive away from the beach and town. This is the kind of vacation that people dream of coming...

There is too much to love about my experience at the Fort Casey Inn. I prefer my accomodations authentic and unfussy. I stayed for 30 nights. I asked for a house without television and I was glad to have the peace and quiet free from distraction. I Never got bored with the surroundings. There are gorgeous hiking trails just steps...

Last minute plans led us to a wonderful overnight stay at Fort Casey in. There happened to be one unit left, so it was meant to be. What a wonderful step back in time gem. The home is decked out in antique furnishings, there is no TV,(WIFI is available, but not always guaranteed). We loved it! It was my husbands...

Please understand that this review was written by one whose age is showing in diminished agility and balance. Also please understand that an effort has been made by the innkeeper to preserve this historic site as much as reasonably possible. Hence, no TV or telephone (but how does one report a fire). This was my second two-night stay at the...

Loved the location but the unit was very hot. All the heat rises to the bedrooms and there are no fans and the windows only open less than a third. Bring your own fan if you can. Not a lot of kitchen utensils either.

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate your experience at the Fort Casey Inn. We're sorry you were too hot in your unit. This past summer was an exceptional summer, given that our normal high temperature in August is just shy of 70 degrees and we had many days over 70! We now have purchased fans and have them...

Former officers' quarters are quaint and well located on the island. There are full kitchens, but they are quite poorly appointed. If you like to cook, be sure to bring your favorite pots and pans and any other kitchen equipment you need but consider even slightly unusual.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We do our best to keep the units as they were in the early 1900's, but that doesn't go for kitchen supplies. Please let us know when you arrive (or anytime during your stay) if you're missing something and we'll be sure to get it to you. We do hope you'll...
