If you are looking for an excellent location for touring Philadelphia, then this hotel is a good choice. With three exits each to different streets, it was easy to get moving in whichever direction interests you. There are many excellent restaurants within a block of the hotel, and there is virtually nothing you cannot see within a walk or a...

My brother and I recently stayed a weekend here. It was a nice hotel. Clean and comfortable room. As a gold elite member, it was nice to be able to get some breakfast in the concierge lounge. It was also very convenient to Septa. The only issue we ran into was the toilet kept blocking up.

Rooms are average. No hot water on the 2nd night of our stay. Front desk would not do anything to compensate and told us we would just have to wait. Missed our dinner reservations due to not showering

I travel to Philly a lot for business and have stayed in many properties in the city. This hotel is very average and a bit below par for the Marriott chain. There are positives: the location is great, right in the middle of downtown, some of the amenities are nice such as the gym, shops and a Starbucks in the...

The people were so nice to us and they were so very helpful. They gave us a very quiet room that made our stay very worthwhile. The hotel is connected to the convention center, so you need not go outside. I love that it is the old Reading Railroad station (like in the Monopoly game!)! There are so many restaurants...

We booked an hotel room for the 5 of us looking for a two double bed rooms. I called the hotel ahead of time and someone told me it should be fine. At time of check-in I was told that such room were already sold out for quite some time. No real solution was provided to me and we had...

PRO's: Check-in very quick and pleasant; front desk staff and concierge were most kind and helpful when I had questions about directions. Room was clean and comfortable and had great view of City Hall. Lounge was better than most Marriotts. CON: Doors are thin; even though hallway sign said "quiet zone", I heard every conversation in the hallway from my...

PROS: very comfortable clean rooms. Location is convenient. Great for touristy stuff: Reading Terminal Market (3-minute walk), Liberty Bell Center (11-minute walk), Independence Hall (11-minute walk) and more. There is also a swimming pool and fitness center, which are good. CONS: the parking was insane. No place to park so you have to pay the hotel $50, OR you can...

I stayed here one night for business. The hotel is very centrally located with access to all kinds of public transportation. The staff could not have been nicer. The room was updated and extremely clean. I did not order food from the hotel but it looked like it had a lot of options available for guests. The concierge was very...

The Marriott Downtown is centrally located and very convenient from the Convention Center. The hotel is enormous and also hosts conferences itself, which can make your stay quite crazy if your visit falls on convention/ conference week. The rooms however are very nice and I certainly enjoyed my stay (which was associated with a conference, hence was even more convenient)....
