This hotel is elegant. The service is outstanding, no matter where you are in the hotel or which service you are accessing. The view from the restaurant and the suites is of Logan Square, complete with a fountain and colorful flowers. If you can, request one of the suites at the end of the hall where the view is the best.
The central location makes many of Philadelphia's significant activities easy to reach, with the Franklin Institute just across the Square. If you opt to eat somewhere other than the hotel restaurant, there are many choices within walking distance.

Important note to start: I stayed in this property during August 2020/Covid Restrictions - so many of the normal property amenities were not available (bar, etc).

Check In/Parking/Staff: I used the Hilton app to check in, and after getting settled did check in with the front desk to grab some waters and breakfast coupons (HH Diamond). The young woman (I know, I should have gotten her name) was extremely bright and pleasant. The hotel is extremely quiet with low occupancy and no one in the lobby, but her energy was engaging and professional and made up for the silent feel. The same can be said for the valet parking folks. I used the AAA/Park rate (hotel parking is obscene at $60 a night, which is significantly higher than the Doubletree or Hilton Penns Landing, but about the same as the Embassy across the street). An easy way around the cost is to park yourself at any of the nearby lots/garages and save $20+ a night. The valet attendants over the top nice which was a great way to start a stay-cation.

Room: I booked a one-bedroom balcony suite. I did not receive an upgrade, although I am not sure there is another room type with a balcony, so perhaps one is not available. The room was large enough to feel "special", the bathroom is enormous and the view/balcony is awesome (looking down the parkway towards the art museum). The same view can be had at the Embassy for $200+ less per night with a significantly larger room, but the Embassy is currently closed. My room was spotless with clearly evident care shown in demonstrating the cleanliness of high touch points.

Breakfast was offered at the small coffee shop in the lobby. I used my coupon for a cold brew and did not get anything to eat. Frankly this is all I ever want, so it was perfect for me, but a more hearty breakfast eater should be making the walk to the Reading Terminal Market anyway! The barista was excellent...huge smile and friendly disposition. Again, a reason to feel good about the price of the room.

Overall, the Logan is great. I would stay there again for the right price.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. The Logan team is thrilled to be here and help make each and every one of our guests feel safe and special. It is true that we only have one floor of balcony suites which we agree, offer an amazing view of Philadelphia. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and do hope to welcome you again soon!

The Logan was a beautiful place to stay with spacious and CLEAN rooms. The beds a very comfortable. The pillows are fluffy down like but we always bring our own, when we can, because we need more firm pillows. The check in process is easy and as "contact less" as possible. They provide a "welcome pack" with cups and bottled water because they are limiting ice machines. Ryan checked us in and was very helpful answering all of my silly questions and any requests we had. My son had a reservation also, for part of the stay. The woman working check-in earlier days was a bit less friendly but the rest of the entire staff (doormen, security, valet and the employees at the cafe/coffee shop) were all very friendly. They even accommodated my son's dog. They did have to move rooms in the middle of the night due to a chirping fire alarm at 2am. The parking is ridiculous and expensive in Philly but the exorbitant $59 for valet is worth the money. We were able to come and go as many times as we wanted. My son parked himself across the street and it was $51 overnight with no in and out privileges. This location is ideal and the Logan goes above and beyond...

If you would like to have a good stay - avoid Jake Rosenfeld.

He is an immature brat who hides in the back office while the front team does an amazing job at providing great service. He has a lot to learn about hotel management and basic kindness and I recommend he refresh himself in accommodating ADA guests.

Arrived to the hotel earlier than check in and the staff surprisingly provided a room however it only had one bed vs the two booked. We got to the new room which had the two beds but it did not have the extra living area I had booked, we inquired at the desk and and were politely told to check back later to see if a room such as 573 was available which is a room that has more space for my aunts wheelchair. With that possibility, we inquired whether to just check the bags with the bellmen as we didn't need to use the room yet. Arrived back around 8pm and inquired to Jason who said yes it was available and he just needed to speak with the manager. Jake eventually slithered out from the back and said because we had occupied the room we could not switch and that no housekeeping staff was on duty. Explained to him that we didn't touch anything, nor use the bathroom, simply just put the bags in the room and left, came back and now checking with them. He then said, well theres no way for us to verify that. (Thinking to myself...why not just slither upstairs for two seconds and take a peek). After several moments of explaining common sense to this guy, he then said oooo well it will be an extra 50 bucks to move. I said fine...we then proceed back to the counter. You think I would just swipe my card and be given the keys but no, I am told to fill out a room change agreement form. When that was explained, I was beyond frustrated as it seemed absolutely ridiculous to spend more time filling this form out with redundant information that you already have on file. Why not just apply the "50.00" to the bill with detailed notes? It clearly was an upsell tracker, wasn't rocket science to understand what was happening. I did not want to assist in providing a "reward" for his managers to see when that was not the case. Ultimately my aunt was able to secure an ADA room at another property. I would like to highlight that the housekeeping team is amazing, the front desk as well. Jason was more of a manager than Jake.

I went to the Logan for a stay. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary along with some friends who's wedding anniversary was the day after. I was very disappointed with what the hotel did to their services. I know it is the time of Covid-19, but there are somethings that should remain the same. In the advertisement of the hotel they never tell you that certain items have bee removed from the room. They removed the coffee maker, the ice bucket. They limited the access to the rooftop lounge, but never tell you that when you check in. There was a sign that said hotel guest only, but they were letting people in on the side of the hotel which took up what should have been for the hotel guest. Ice machine not working on every floor. More so the other couple who was there for 2 days were told only the morning after they were not cleaning room, changing sheets or towels no room service until after 3pm. They had called a head to make sure all things were in place and was told they were. Both couples have stayed there before and were looking for a great time for the celebration. I can understand about the the physical distancing, but when someone comes to a hotel like the Logan, they are expecting4 star service, especially when you pay what was paid by both couples. You shouldn't have to call the front desk for things that are standard and when you do it gets dropped at the door. They also gave the other couples Balcony suite away after they requested it.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Guest feedback is important to us and helps the team continue to grow and improve. For guest safety, certain amenities had to be removed from our guest rooms however they can be requested with the Front Desk. Additionally, all food and beverage outlets have to adhere to limited capacity as set forth by the city. We do hope to welcome you again when some of these restrictions are lifted to provide a true Logan stay.

The cleanliness was terrible! Especially in a time of covid where everyone is wanting to be reassured that facilities are cleaned & disinfected. Our group rented 2 rooms, in both rooms you could tell it was a little dusty & it seemed like the bare minimum of cleaning was done. The seal stickers on the doors that are suppose to break when entered just peeled off instead giving us no confidence. After suspecting that the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned - the kicker was that our refrigerator had old food from the previous occupants! Coincidentally a manager overheard us talking about the food left behind & offered to make it right with breakfast vouchers which to be honest helped because at least now I would be willing to give them another shot in the future. On a separate note, calling the front desk was an ordeal...the phone would just ring for 2-3 minutes then they would pickup and put you on hold for another 2-3 minutes. I know it can be busy but that’s ridiculous; the whole point is you’re supposed to be able to call the front desk & speak to someone.

The only plus is location even though parking is expensive & limited.

Will start with the positives - the staff were friendly, despite being really busy. The negatives include spending more than $700 for two nights in a basic room and NOT automatically having free Wifi. In this day and age why are they charging $12 a night for Wifi? Also, we booked a room for 4 people and were given 3 towels with no daily room service. The hotel bar was closed the whole weekend for a wedding party, which was compounded by the fact that the attached restaurant was completely booked, leaving no place for our family to eat. And lastly, the cost was not consistent with the quality of the hotel. Our rate for Friday night was $251, and for Saturday night it shot up to $450, and then we had to pay $60 EACH night to leave our car, and $15 for one gin and tonic. I don't mind paying higher-ish prices, but with this hotel, we simply didn't feel like we got any sort of value in return. And to make matters worse, I accidently left behind a small item in our room and the hotel refused to ship it to me; instead I had to go out and get and pay for a shipping label and send it to them.

We stayed at The Logan for 2 nights in Dec 2019.
I booked a junior suite at the most expensive rate that included free cancellation AND FREE breakfast.
Apparently, to the people at The Logan FREE breakfast means vouchers for $16per person.
Now . . . The Logan isn't an inexpensive hotel . . . eggs benedict for example cost $16 . . . hence everything else is extra.
We found this stunt to be inappropriate to the level of the hotel.
No one should ever be ok with marketing/advertising deception!

Aside from the barking dog on our floor the Hotel and rooms are very nice and well kept. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfasts they served. First morning I ordered bacon and eggs with potatoes and English muffin. The eggs were fried in oil not butter. The hash brown potato was similar to what you get at a Mc Donalds, a frozen patty that was deep fried and greasy. The English muffin was neither toasted or grilled. It nothing but warm bread. My wife ordered the continental breakfast which consisted of fresh fruit and a cold croissant and cold blueberry muffin. The next morning I ordered french toast. They tout on the menu that they used real maple syrup from Pa. Real maple syrup has to be refrigerated so it doesn't go bad. Someone forgot to tell the "CHEF" that it helps immensely if the syrup is heated before serving instead of pouring cold syrup that just came out of the the fridge over warm french toast. Being a retired restaurant owner I tend to look at those small details which can make or break a meal.

My friend and I booked this hotel as a chance to get away and relax. We initially booked the new Four Seasons but she had a promotion so we stayed here. It is, in a word, average. The hotel lobby is nice but a little chaotic. It was nothing special.

We booked a suite, the only one left was an accessible suite which happens to be at the very, very, very end of the hallway. This isn’t an issue unless you have trouble walking. We laughed about it because it seemed like we would never find the room.

Room is spacious but poorly lit and feels haphazard. The TV is in the corner and that half of the room has no light. There is a nice leather couch but sadly, a little stained.

Bathroom is lovely but has one huge counter with one sink. With all that space, I’d suggest two sinks. Especially in a room with two beds.

Keurig coffee maker with average coffee selections, tea. Paper cups. I do like that there are glasses for water. Here’s what I noticed: the coffee machine in is in the sitting area. There’s no sink in the sitting area. I had to go back through the bedroom to get to the water for the coffee, and I worried I’d wake up my friend. Not the end of the world, but it’s something that makes this feel more like a 3 star hotel than a 4 star.

Urban Farmer, restaurant in the hotel, was excellent.

Overall, if you are trying to decide whether to stay in a more upscale hotel, I would suggest that. But this is perfectly adequate.

Updated to add: Keurig doesn’t work and front desk has told me “there’s a coffee shop in the lobby”. Finally had to get the manager to intervene to send coffee. Hilton, remember it takes very little to turn a bad situation around. Suggesting a guest go get a cup of coffee is not how you do it. Sending a pot of coffee up on the house doesn’t cost much and I’m now just annoyed and no longer irate.

Yes, there is a liquor/wine store within walking distance. A beer store is walking distance as well but it’s in the opposite direction of the wine store. :( Welcome to Philadelphia!
