The restoration and transformation of this boutique hotel is a real delight. As my 3rd stay I believe I have enough perspective to both endorse the hotel's concept, and request some changes. I could tell the street facing windows are noticeably quieter. But the ear plugs provided in the night stand are needed and appreciated. The squeaky floors are an...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Commodore Hotel in downtown Astoria. I was in town for some family business and to do a running race along the Columbia River. The location is prefect for taking in the numerous Astoria eateries and craft brew spots. I chose a suite with an in room bath. The room was spacious and well...

We stayed a night here after hearing good reviews about it. The lobby and decor are great! Since we and the other coupe we were traveling with, were each staying in one of the small rooms, with the shared bathrooms, we went back down to the lobby to hang out after checking in. We enjoyed great music next to the...

This hotel is great. We really loved it here and would stay again if ever in Astoria! The shared bathrooms had us a little nervous but they are luxury and impeccably clean. I never encountered anyone else! Our room was comfortable and unique. I loved the windows. The front desk staff was so friendly and she invited us to a...

We stopped in Astoria on an impulse on a road trip to the Oregon coast. We stumbled across the Commodore after being discouraged by the prices at the Elliot. Kimber greeted us and was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She showed us three types of rooms (including one with private bath, which we took) and she offered us a discounted rate...

We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday a part of our trip between Seattle and Portland. The place is new(with a great history) and very clean. It is not for everyone but we loved it. The GM and wife are very friendly and helpful. There can be some street noise and chatter through the walls but it wasn't too...

Price was great for a "cabin" room $70/night. I loved the old style feel of the hotel and it's unique and quirky decor. I don't like cheap chain hotels and this was not like any I had stayed before, but that does go along with wood floors (not carpet) which makes this hotel much louder than most. I wish I...

No thank you to shared bathrooms! We booked through Travelocity that said NOTHING about shared bathrooms. The hotel wanted to charge us more than double to get a room that had a private bathroom. How is this acceptable when the advertisement says nothing about a shared bathroom?

What a great 'old time' hotel with a stylish/hip feel and outstanding service. The decor is great and very interesting to study. Our room was quiet (although they warn you ahead of time that it is downtown and 'on the main street'. Our room had new inner double panel windows in addition to the original windows, so I'm sure that...

It is a nice place to stay--We stayed in a cabin room, but had all the privacy we wanted and didn't have a problem sharing the bathroom and shower. It was a little noisy, but the charm of the hotel makes up for it.
