The room was nice, right on the Astoria Harbor. Our room was just a few feet from the water with a balcony. The price was good, and the staff provided anything we requested. We traveled through the Columbia Gorge, and down the Oregon Coast to Bandon. This hotel was so affordable, and well located, we returned to Astoria for a...

Hotel was great! We were a family of 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs so we needed two rooms. They were great and put us side by side, the room was very spacious and had balcony that overlooked the marina and Astoria bridge. They provide a shuttle into town if you needed it and kept it running until 3am....

The location is perfect. Easy access to anything you could want. A quick stroll along the river walk is close by. The hotel is starting to show its age but the rooms are clean and the beds comfy. View is of boats and it's an interesting area. Looks like you can walk right outside to the river but you actually...

We were greeted fresh baked cookies, which was nice. The couch in the lobby was old and warn out. The breakfast area was big and it was pretty good variety. Almost all of the furniture was old and needed replaced. They provided free DVD's to use in your room. They have about 10 bikes for the guests to use. In...

We stayed for 2 nights as part of their Happy Holidays package. Room was terrific, staff were very accommodating and helpful. The views from the room are million- dollar and the cruiser bike use/DVD library were super cool. Extra touches like the complimentary shuttle bus & food/ champagne on Nye were an added bonus. We'll be back for sure.

Just as other reviewers have mentioned, don't judge this sweet gem by the exterior. The rooms are updated, fresh & modern, very comfortable and all have great views. The free breakfast buffet is delicious & plentiful with scenic dining space and computer area. They offer free bike rentals, so you can take the boardwalk all the way into town. We...

First time to Astoria and had no idea where to stay. Came upon a very positive review in TA mentioning this hotel which was also promoting a groupon deal at the time so that provided the incentive to book here. The hotel's on the edge of town so location wise not central if you want to be able to walk...

I was in town for just about 48 hours for my brother's wedding. The whole family was staying close but I couldn't afford the wedding suites at the other hotels. This hotel was very nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was amazing (smoked salmon!) and I enjoyed staying here (and will stay here again when...

I have to admit that I almost drove away after seeing the exterior of the hotel. The parking lot was empty on. Tuesday November afternoon which was also concerning. I am so glad I decided to check in and look at the room. The view is gorgeous. The room is clean and nicely decorated. I would absolutely come back!

The Riverwalk Inn Astoria. Fun place to stay, close to fine dining and fun dining. Most importantly if you enjoy the lanyards clanging the fishermen in the morning and some seals - this is the spot. Enjoy old and new AStoria.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Originally opened as the Red Lion – Thunderbird Motor Inn and later simply as the Red Lion, the Astoria Riverwalk Inn was the town’s first waterfront hotel, established in the late 1960s. The Port of Astoria owns the facility, and in September 2015 contracted with new local ownership to assume and improve the Riverwalk Inn operations. The new ownership group is comprised of seasoned business management professionals with significant experience in commercial property development and hospitality, including the development and initial launch of the award-winning Hotel Elliott in downtown Astoria. With a new operating team in place since September 2015, literally everything is new at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn. From the luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, redesigned dining area and lobby adorned with local, original artwork; the addition of a continental breakfast; extensive landscaping and general updates throughout (including lots of fresh paint!), guests will gain a sense of renewed care and attention to detail. Other complimentary amenities include a business center just off the lobby, upgraded high-speed Wi-Fi, a DVD library and “Beach Cruiser” bikes for exploring Astoria’s acclaimed four-mile long Riverwalk. We think you’ll find changes to the Astoria Riverwalk Inn create an inviting atmosphere for a restful stay on the waterfront. We hope to see you soon! ... more   less
