Very nice place to visit. Rooms are excellent and lots of hiking trails in area. We went for the New Year weekend. You need to reserve almost a year in advance because of popularity at that time of year. Worth the trip!

Located close to the McDonald Observatory, a worthy place to visit, the Indian Lodge is part of the Davis Mountains State Park. We found its southwest design and white adobe architecture to be warm and friendly. It fits right into the natural surroundings. The rooms were comfortable and the wood ceilings and beams gave them real charm. There is plenty...

We stayed here in the early fall for three nights. We just loved the atmosphere and the surroundings. This is not your typical motel. We stayed in a newer room (#311) which looked out toward the canyon. It was very clean and rustic. There is cable tv, but no wifi. The air conditioner was on a stand instead of the...

What an amazing little hidden gem! This unique little hotel is buried in the David Mountains within the Davis Mountains State Park. It is anything but the usual campground motel. It really looks like an old Indian Lodge. The rooms are quaint and cute, nicely appointed and unique. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the grounds are immaculately maintained....

The Indian Lodge has it--nestled in the Davis Mountains but close enough to Fort Davis to run in for dinner or other necessities. My family stayed here first when I was a teenager--on this visit some (gulp) forty years later, it is just as I remembered it. You can hike right out the front or back, watch the stars at...

Right off the main road, the Indian lodge offers so much. From hiking the trails to the on site restaurant, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Our room was beautiful and spacious. The staff was super helpful. The room was very clean and had spectacular views of the mountains. I would highly recommend this to anyone going to...

We were fortunate enough to make our reservation in April for a room at Indian Lodge on Christmas eve and day. What a lovely spot. Our room was in the original section of the hotel. It was bright, clean, comfortable and quiet. Such attention to detail. The reception staff was helpful and friendly and attentive. Miracle on 34th St was...

The cool thing about Rm.111 is that it has doors that open to the courtyard as well as the back patio. With both doors open, the cool breeze is awesome! The downside of any room that has an upstairs neighbor is that every footstep above is amplified beyond any reasonable comfort level you could imagine. Would just as soon stay...

Breathtakingly beautiful surroundings envelop the historic CCC lodge. The mountains provide a backdrop for a serene and relaxing stay. The lodge itself is beautiful. Updated and modern, yet still holding on to the rustic charm that was instilled in it when first built. While the weather definitely kept me from exploring as much as I would have liked, I still...

We couldn't wait to get there, and were not disappointed when we arrived. It is really set beautifully in the Davis Mountains. We started off with a King bed in room 112 but had to move because there was a bit of a mildew smell in the room. It was immaculate and we loved it....hated to move. George helped us...
