First off, this is an independently owned pensione. You are paying way less than the overpriced hotels in Savannah. By staying here we saved about $170, enough to enjoy some nice meals with our savings. The location is flanked by million dollar homes so it is in a safe area which makes the walk a safe one as well. Savannah...

Me and my friend stayed in a carriage house. Great bargain in downtown, for sure. Beautiful location in charming neighborhood. Everything is in a walking distance, supermarket is right across from the street, several unique cafes nearby. The place was neat, manager was friendly and helpful. We found this location safe and our lodging secure. Definitely, we will come back...

I booked a stay at the Savannah Penisone Hostel in August 2016. I firstly realised that to stay in Savannah, everywhere is very expensive so being on a tight budget where every cent counts I decided to stay in the Pensione Hostel. I found it quite strange that I had no way of booking my stay online (without even so...

I will start with a comment that I have traveled a lot to different places around the world and always try to stay at hostels when possible. My stay here was less than pleasant as it was not very welcoming from the start and the person at the desk was not the usual manager and seemed a bit out of...

My SCAD students stay here when the dorms close but their flight isn't for another day or two or they get in before they open. Very affordable option and the owner is very accommodating. He has come to know my daughters and makes sure they are safe for the night and calls the cab for them in the AM. There...

This was a great place for what it was- a hostel run by a guy by himself out of his house. The house was clean and neat but definitely not well decorated, but for the price that was fine. The exterior of the house was lovely and the street it was on was also very nice. It was a long...

I stayed at the Savannah Pensione for one night with a group of 13 people. The location is really good. Everything is within walking distance and there is a supermarket across the street. The owner is really nice and helpfull. The place is clean. There are only 2 bathrooms, so if you're with a lot of people you have to...

When I booked the place I knew it wasn't the Grand Hotel, it was more the location for me, like close to the historic district and River Street and the Forsythe Park. I would summarize the property as under maintained. I stayed in the main house, upstairs in one of the bunk rooms with a private bath room. When I...

Recently traveled to Savannah for the first time (my boyfriend and I) for a weekend. If you have started to do some research on stays in Savannah you will find it is mad expensive! But do not fear! International Pensione is here! We loved our two night stay! We stayed in the main house our first night, we got a...

The girlfriend and I stayed at this hostel last weekend. We stayed in the "back house" which had a rate of $80 a night. It was not on the hostelworld website, but with a quick call we were told about it. The owner, Brian is a character; seems a bit in his own world, but genuinely nice and willing to...
