We stayed in the Marshall House in historic district of Savannah and found the accommodations comfortable and the staff very friendly. The location is perfect and the rooms have a historic feel with some modern upgrades- comfortable beds and central air! The breakfast is satisfactory- and there is also afternoon wine and cheese offered. The city is magical and this...

We just returned from a two day stay at the Marshall House. Overall pleased with the experience. The hotel is centrally located and close to most major attractions. Most of them are walking distance from the hotel. We booked a trolley (Old Savannah Tours) "on/off" tour which we used to learn about the city and as mode of transportation. It...

What an outstanding experience! The hotel, while hosting all modern amenities expected, also maintains much of it's original charm. All staff went out of their way to be helpful and provided a lot of appreciated advise, including making tour reservations.

The Marshall House is the oldest hotel in historic downtown Savannah. The extensive multimillion dollar remodel back in the 80's did a good job of retaining the vintage and historic feel. The wood floors and doors squeak and creak. The Hotel is said to be haunted as it was first used as a hospital during the Civil War. Local ghost...

From the staff to the wonderful rooms and service, I don't think there's a better place to stay while your enjoying the wonderful city of Savannah! My wife and I are planning our one year anniversary, and we...

Overall the experience was great! Perfect location with extremely helpful kind staff. The building is historic which lends itself to certain issues such as slanted floors, low water pressure in certain rooms, and of course echoing. However, these things are expected when staying in historic buildings and are part of the building's charm. The breakfast was average. The staff were...

We rolled into Savannah and quickly found the Marshall House. The valet was ready to help us right away. He told us that we could store our luggage with them if our room wasn't ready, since we were 2 hours early. We checked in and found that our room was ready for us. Our valet turned porter took our luggage...

It is an old building--which is a selling point for them. The rooms are small and the ceilings are high. Voices echo off of the plaster walls. The staff tried a little too hard to be friendly--to the point of being pushy. They asked me who I was traveling with, what I was planning on doing while there, then left...
