We were staying in the Westmark Fairbanks and due to fly out to Seattle and Calgary. We were staying as part of a Holland America cruise. Due to a misunderstanding we were not told that our flight had been brought forward from 2 pm to 11.30. Needless to say we missed it as we got the airport as it disappeared....

Go to ski land, 30 mins by taxi into the mountains for best viewing of northern lights. $30 per person to use their facilities, free coffee, hot chocolate etc or get taxi to pull over at lookout 200 metres before ski land if you don't want to pay the $30. Far better viewing than Chena resort. West mark was a...

The entire staff was helpful and always willing to go the extra mile, especially Rosa. Great hub to explore the region with many tours giving you door to door service. Also, walking distant to many visitor attractions.

I stayed 5 nights at the Westmark Hotel. While it is no longer shiny new, it felt like a warm and welcoming old pair of slippers. Everything about it was comfortable and clean and at ease, and the staff were very lovely, kind and helpful...the nicest folk. The bar with its fantastic menu and ambience was a standout. The shop...

The hotel itself is quite reasonable. The rooms were comfortable and the beds were very cosy and the bathroom was adequate. There are some reasonable places to eat in the area which is very advantageous as the food at the hotel was disgusting. The breakfast was cereal with paper plates and plastic utensils, some fruit on the wrong side of...

What made this stay were the people here. The manager, Ron Lowery, helped make our stay most enjoyable He suggestions of restaurants and attractions were dead on. The rest of his staff were pleasant to a fault. The property a short distance from the center of downtown was clean and everything in our room which was jr suite bed are...

We stayed here in Sept of 2016 on a tour to Alaska. It was very welcoming. Service was great. Our bags were in our room waiting for us when we arrived. They were brought from Denali by truck as we rode to Fairbanks by train... The decor of the hotel was very nice. Enjoyed the gift shop and took advantage...

If you visit Fairbanks during winter months from mainland continental US and are used to certain kind of amenities, you won't find much. Very limited resources/food/ and things to do. We primarily visited for the Northern lights and our experience was awesome. The hotel is nice, updated, warm and cozy. Comfortable bed and nice sheets. Great housekeeping. Front staff is...

Clean room with a desk and kitchen area. This is a very nice hotel. You can even check your luggage in for your airline flight the next day if you are flying Alaskan Airlines. The only problem is that the toliet is very, very noisy when flushed.

I have stayed here many times over the years. downtown location, quiet usually, decent bar and grill, in hotel store. No transportation but good parking for your rental. Recommend asking for new wing until remodeling other side.
