We visited my daughter, who recently moved to Park Slope and needed a place to stay that was walking distance. This hotel was a 20 minute walk from Prospect Park and our daughter's house and close to many other things downtown Brooklyn and Park Slope has to offer. The hotel is

As a Honors Gold member, I must say that this hotel has horrible service. 1. The hotel refused to lower my rate when the rate dropped within 24 hours of booking. I had booked the hotel for $296 and it quickly dropped to $246 but the hotel said I had to formally call Hilton

Is there a security deposit or any other hope of payments due on check in ?
I ONLY stay at Hilton properties and I think this is now standard operating procedure!. When you check-in, the hotel swipes your credit card and immediately they submit a charge to your credit card. The amount is equal to the total for the stay plus the value of one extra night. The charge is NOT "official" and it is on the bill as a "pending" charge until after you check out. It then seems to take a couple of days for the final actual charge to get put on the bill. I don't have any problem with this. I always have my receipt and verify the amounts. I also NEVER charge anything to my room!

Is there ample drawer space?
A small amount - the rooms are fairly well laid out but NYC compact. There's a decent closet and a few drawers in a king bedded room. It's clean, quiet and in a good location a few blocks from good public transit options. Staff a friendly and helpful and the ondite restaurant was fine with quick room service available.
