Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently stayed there for the weekend on a business trip to Brooklyn. Very nice and clean room, very spacious with kitchenette, fridge, microwave. Courteous and helpful staff. Fairly standard breakfast buffet. Not exactly a nice view, but hey it's Brooklyn right.

We stayed at this hotel because it is near our daughter's apartment in Park Slope. Nice, new hotel. Very clean, friendly front desk and cleaning staff. Good breakfast. Our major complaint was that the sliding door to the bathroom has a 1-2" gag when closed, so you can see right into the bathroom when someone is showering. I've seen these doors before in other NY hotels. The hotel needs to add a metal trim strip, so when the sliding door closes, there is no gap, and the bathroom user has privacy.

We had several rooms at this hotel for our son's wedding at a local venue. Everything was outstanding, but particularly the staff, who went out of their way to be gracious and accomodating. I'd like to single out Jennifer Bartlerr, Jose Hernandez, Robert Ham (Benzo Doggie) and Adjoa Ososi. It was marvelous, convenient, and comfortable. A home away from home. Thank you.

The hotel is pretty loud, people yelling in the halls at all hours, dogs barking, babies crying. The days I stayed were expensive for some reason so with taxes and fees it was $500/night. So for that price I expected more quiet and respectful behavior by other guests. My first night I was awakened at 1am by a couple screaming and swearing in the hallway. I complained by text to staff because I just had tonsil surgery and couldn’t talk. They responded 30 mins later so it was too late by that time. Everything else at the hotel was fine. Location was good though also a bit noisy with a bar nearby.

No sleep. 2 night stay for Thanksgiving. Had room on ground floor next to lounge. The staff leaves the TV on at the loudest volume all night and refused to turn it off. Bad enough it happened the first night but after pleas to management who promised it wouldn’t happen the next night, it still did. And the ride night clerk refused to help. Don’t waste your money here. Go somewhere else.

First of all, kudos to front desk staffer, Devon, who has the quintessential customer service skills! He was able to check us in early, a blessing after our lengthy trip to get to NYC. He also arranged a car service for us, and recommended some neat restaurants. Rare to get a front desk person who seems like he is also a concierge in training! Obviously newer place that is well cared for. Pleasant buffet staff. Nice room on the C level. Great water pressure in a spacious shower. Thick towels. Nicely appointed room with a kitchenette. So many great restaurants nearby. Convenient to the cruise terminal. A couple minor issues with TV and phone, but nothing that bothered us.

The staff members are top-notch, and the hotel is super close to a subway station, making it convenient. Breakfast offers enough choices, too! The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen extremely useful for eating leftovers. Nearby is a corner grocer that we frequented. However, I would not recommend the one-bedroom suites. All of them feature a shower whose floor blends into the rest of the room. And because there's no shower door nor a properly fitted curtain, water spreads throughout the washroom. Every time someone showered, we had to mop the floor with towels. We even spread towels before we stepped in, but water still sprayed all over. And the built-in shower chair traps water in it, so the bathroom smelled moldy. Choose a room with a regular shower, and you will be fine.

I fully admit I went into this experience with low expectations just because it's only a three star hotel. But wow was I surprised. This place is GREAT. The rooms have everything you need, the bed was super comfortable and the room is really spacious, everything was spotlessly clean, the complimentary breakfast is really good, the gym is really nice and most of all the service is so friendly and terrific. Shout out to Devyn at the front desk who is a real gem--hang on to that guy! This is my new go-to hotel in NYC, I felt really comfortable and at home here.

Dear Marriott: You have a 5 star exemplary employee at the front desk named Daniel. He is phenomenal, so friendly, efficient, nice and helpful. Thanks for all your help and assisting me to safely get my Mom into a waiting uber. All of the staff at this hotel really made us feel welcome, everyone has a smile and a pleasant greeting and asks to see if the guests need anything. The evening front desk employees were extremely nice as well and it was fun to chat with them when we came in. Our room was very clean and has microwave, refrigerator etc. The shower had wonderful pressure, beds very comfortable and the room was quiet. I did not hear any noise from outside or from the hall. Next time I am in NYC/Manhattan I will be staying here as its worth the short travel time via subway/uber and I much prefer this hotel over any in Manhattan. The location is fantastic so close to many highly rated restaurants and interesting shops

Good option for families, no frills but does include a nice breakfast. Suites have kitchens with microwave, sink, full size fridge, dishes, utensils and more. If you walk one block to 5th Avenue there are tons of trendy restaurants and boutiques, and there’s a 24 hr grocery across the street from the hotel with a deli.
