Everything was wonderful. The room was nice and big, walking trails close by. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. I also liked the fact that it is so close to Silver City, but it seems you are gar away from everything!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while taking a short getaway vacation in New Mexico. Our room was spacious, with a balcony and a lovely view. The common areas are a gallery of local artwork. The inn is situated amid trails and farmland (horses, etc. ). Breakfast was amazing and the staff was extremely accommodating about our... More

We spent a wonderful fall weekend at Bear Mountain Lodge. There were 3 couples and we stayed in Mayra's House. We each had our own nice sized room and lovely bathroom. There was a fourth bedroom so more people could have stayed there. The living room area in the center was a great place to gather and enjoy one another's... More

We rented all of their rooms. They were welcoming. The accommodated our needs. They fed us great food and they always had delicious cookies ready and waiting. The rooms were comfortable. The location was relaxing but near enough to the city and the Trail of the Mountain Spirit for our needs. We had several people with dietary restrictions which were... More

We have stayed at Bear Mt. several times, and we have never been disappointed. The lodge rooms, while not fancy, are large and clean, and the common areas and portals are lovely. It's a very relaxing place and the service is wonderful, but not intrusive. They make a killer breakfast, which is more like brunch, in that one meal for... More

A rare treat of local historical culture and quality hospitality. I humbly admitted to Linda, one of the owners, that I was a bit apprehensive about booking when I saw the rooms on the website and that I had to pay $30 for dinner without knowing what would be served. Everything about Bear Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations. The rooms... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights at Bear Mountain. We wanted to stay forever. Our room, Dos Cabezas, was up stairs and included a west facing balcony patio. The balcony was too warm and sunny to use doing the day but as the sun dipped behind the hills in late afternoon it was a great place to have a... Bear Mountain Lodge is a must see destination in Silver City. Artists paintings are hanging on the walls and in the rooms of the lodge. All are for sale. The rooms are spacious and have wonderful views. The Lodge has 180 acres of land and has developed four loop trails for everyone to enjoy. You do not have to be... More

My parents, husband, and I visited in August and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The hotel rooms are generously large, spotlessly clean, and breakfast is homemade and tasty. We loved sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds. The hosts were friendly and bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend!
