The Border Inn is a decent spot to spend a night but nothing fancy. Its biggest asset is the close proximity to the Great Basin NP. There is plenty of room for parking your vehicle, and the gas station is almost a necessity as there aren't that many gas stations around in that area. The restaurant is alright but -...

Since it is the only place around it seems there is no incentive to be anything more than a place to sleep. No pool, no wi-fi, no breakfast. It is overpriced for what you get, but if you need a room in the area, what can you do? The room was clean, it smelled like cleaning supplies, the shower spigit...

It's not the most luxurious place by a long shot but for an area so far from everywhere it's great.The room was clean, the beds were comfortable after a long day hiking and the staff really nice. We ended up at the Border Inn by accident. We'd booked another nearby motel to go to Great Basin and at the last minute, they realized they were overbooked, so they put us here. Stayed here in an RV in July 2016. It is seriously NOTHING more than a dirt parking lot behind the general store/diner. Check in/register at the store counter. There is absolutely no shade.
