It wasn't resent...but this is where my husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and we absolutely LOVED everything about this lodge/resort! We were there over the Memorial Day holiday until June 3rd of 2007. Our balcony wall was built right at the edge of the creek that flows down from Mt LeConte. In light of the resent wildfires my... We were placed in the basement! The room smelled stale, the ceiling in the shower had mold, and the general appearance was shabby. This was NOT the experience I had a few years ago at this establishment. It was very upsetting that this place has fallen into such a state of disrepair.

No hot water both mornings due to different problems- staff didn't offer to discount me(although did when pressed), roaches and ants. I would think this was a $60-70 range hotel. The complimentay breakfast was sparse.Evening staff was somewhat friendly

Affordable rates. Within walking distance to main street Gatlinburg. Balcony faces the mountains with a creek below. Indoor/outdoor pool. Trolly stop near hotel. The walk to Gatlinburg is scenic and enjoyable to walk. Also has pet friendly rooms. Restaurants are nearby. Not in the middle of crowds and traffic.

No hot water starting Friday night until early afternoon on Saturday - no shower!. Management was apologetic and thanked me for my patience. No hot water early Sunday morning - no shower!. My sister called to let the office know. At check out, desk clerk did not even attempt to make an apology. Sarcastically said "well, the hot water is... More

The location is good and listening to the creek are the only positives about this place. The room we had was very run down; missing the security latch; was supposed to be non-smoking room but had very obviously had smokers in it before because it reeked. The hotel had a CleanAir ozone producing unit running in the room which is... More

Rock hard beds, parking was atrocious, room phone did not work, room keys lost programming, dated lodge. That's the bad. The swimming pool was nice. That's the good! I won't revisit. I'll spend another $40 a night and come out much better.

I've been here several times. First time I came I was with my band class in 8th grade and had the time of my life. Came here again recently with my boyfriend. It is definitely outdated but great for a weekend getaway. Always love to check out the pool as it is very creative and beautifully designed. The staff has... More
