I love how homely Ndali lodge makes her guests feel. Having the dogs around was the highlight for me as I looove dogs. Took photos with them too 😊. The place is overlooking Ndali crater lake and we enjoyed breakfast with a fantastic view. The rooms are so comfortable and reminded me of home...well a lot better than home i sure add. The food on the other hand could have been better. The staff of my God!!! Wonderful wonderful wonderful. The nice young man who attended to us was the highlight. Super attentive and always happy to help. They have some of the best Dawa tea i have ever tasted. Morning Wake up calls were on time. Loved everything! Thank you our wonderful server and the entire Team. Thank you Aubrey for such a nice and friendly stay at Ndali lodge. Will surely be back and this time for a longer stay …

We stayed here for two wonderful nights. The drive to get up to the Lodge was beautiful, but the view from the Lodge itself is simply stunning. The Lodge is surrounded by lakes and mountains so it's very peaceful other than the sound of the birds. The rooms are quite spacious with a large veranda that faces the mountains. The bathroom is large with both a tub and a shower - the view from the bathroom is gorgeous as it too faces the mountains. The food was delicious and plentiful; you won't go hungry here! My sister's food allergies had not been passed along to the Lodge, but they were able to adapt her meals with no issues. Dining by candlelight in the evening was especially lovely. There are several hiking paths around the property so you can explore the scenery even more. The paths are well marked so you won't get lost. Aubrey and Clare (and the dogs) were very warm and welcoming. Every member of the staff was terrific - also very warm, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I very much enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again.…

I loved this spot. The views are incredible and driving up towards the lodge we had a sense of discovering this hidden gem. Later we found out it's a favourite amongst our expat friends. The food was absolutely delicious and the rooms felt like a home away from home. The staff were friendly and capable and willing. Do go down to the lake even if it's a steep climb, it's beautiful. I hope to return.

One of the loveliest places we have stayed in. The stunning views, gorgeous accommodation and delicious food were only enhanced by the feeling of welcome we received as soon as we arrived. Eating breakfast on a terrace overlooking a crater lake was wonderful and eating dinner by candlelight beautiful. We loved the design of the buildings, the view from the bath and the chilled, no worries atmosphere. What a place!

The pompous owner negated the experience at this beautifully located lodge. The location is stunning, and all the meals were excellent. First let me say we love dogs, in fact we used to raise Alaskan Malamutes. We didn’t appreciate though finding muddy dog prints on the rugs in our room. When this was pointed out to the owner, he said it happened when he showed us the room….so in other words he was aware of the issue and did nothing about it. They were also experiencing swarms of gnats as the result of recent rains. The problem started with dinner that evening. There was a problem with the candles staying lit (the only source of light in the room) so the owner put a battery-operated light on our table. Soon there were bugs all over our food, so I turned off the light. I went to the washroom and found that the waiter in my absence had turned back on the portable light and had moved it closer to my food. Unfortunately, my plate now had dead bugs in it. As other guests were in earshot, I didn’t want to bring it to the attention of the waiter. In another instance the bathroom window in our cottage was left open by housekeeping and returning to our room to take a relaxing bath after 6 hours of hiking and dinner I was faced with a bathtub of dead bugs and moths. The bathroom sink was also full of dead bugs. When this issue was presented to the owner the next morning, he was dismissive. In a condescending tone he stated this is not a hotel, this is my house, and I am sorry you didn’t like my house. In other words, he could care less that dogs track mud into guest bedrooms or their dinner and bathroom are full of bugs due to inferior service because this appears to be the norm for this location. I told him that in my house if we have a bug problem, we tell our guests to make sure to close the windows at dusk before they turn on lights to keep them out. He remained unapologetic. For this reason, I cannot recommend Ndali to those who are interested in a copy/paste of my itinerary because I don’t want to risk them being exposed to his rude behavior and the disrespect of guests.…

Ndali Lodge was the first stop on our honeymoon and they certainly set the bar high. It was one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. From the moment we were greeted by the wonderful Ndali team and the canine welcoming committee, we felt right at home. The property is gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around the crater lake and relaxing in the pool with a view of the Rwenzoris - William made sure we were well supplied with snacks and refreshments. Our cottage was charming and cozy (the bed was a touch firm as a heads up for sensitive sleepers). The food was fantastic and we enjoyed meeting other guests in the communal dining area. The packed lunches we took for chimp trekking and travel days were particularly memorable - we're still thinking about the chapatis! I wish I was having breakfast on the back deck enjoying a view of the lake right now. Looking forward to our next visit!…

We had a magnificent 2 night stay in this superbly located, incredibly atmospheric lodge, which has breathtaking 360 degree views over mountains, farmland and a lake. Aubrey and Clare are very welcoming, always closely followed by their 4 dogs. The staff are attentive; the food is delicious and we only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the ambience and facilities.

OMG, this is one of the few places I've stayed in the world where the hotel is really the highlight of the trip, it's worth travelling 6 hours from Kampala just for the Ndali Lodge experience. The location, the ethos, the rooms, the views (in every direction!), the reception and servce. All are fabulous. Even the dining experience - though as ever in Uganda, please don't expect super top notch cuisine (breakfast the exception here, which is excellent). I've been many times, and Ndali Lodge never fails to delight and excite. Worth the splurge.

A beautiful well-established lodge with nine private bungalows that overlook the beautiful valley. Nestled between two crater lakes the surroundings are breathtaking. The food was delicious with ample servings. The staff were helpful, courteous, and friendly. The owners were engaging and responsive. The rooms are sufficiently sized and the water was hot. Overall, it was comfortable with a relaxing vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We also appreciated that the lodge provided drinking water for their guests.
