In a superb location with outstanding views this lodge has luxurious individual accommodation, delicious meals, great facilities and attentive staff. Be warned about the battlefield tours though. Both Rorke's Drift and Isandlwana have self guided routes and museums, perfect for those who want an informed account of the events. Booking a tour cost over £50 each plus site admission cost...

Very friendly and welcoming manager, staff also very friendly and helpful. It is a wonderfully restful and tranquil spot. We had room no 3, which had great views over the valley. We were only there 24 hours, but felt very rested and unwound even in that short time. Good bush walk, excellent food. They also managed to make me some...

Stayed here for two nights. In the middle of nowhere but is in its own reserve. The design of the accommodation is very different and a change from the usual hotel room/suite. We enjoyed a game drive with Linda who seemed very knowledgable about the animals and flora & fauna. Bruce the manager was very helpful. The food was ok...

Very beautiful room, nice view, great food . We regret it was not possible to walk by our own in the reserve as it was written in the book in the bedroom. No possible to ride on MTB. The management didn't propose any activities ????

Thank you so much for your feedback. Perhaps there was a miscommunication because there always is a host of activities for guests to partake in. We are sorry this wasn't communicated to you and going forward we will ensure that guests understand what their options are if they cannot walk or mountain bike for specific reasons. We stayed here from August 17-20 and truly loved every minute. The lodges are the most beautiful beehive design with everything you could need in them, along with simply incredible views across the reserve and its breathtaking sunrises. We had a great excursion with Mr Coleman to the battlefields, enjoyed a unique Zulu dancing display and feast by firelight at...

This place is totally delightful. We stayed here after safaris in Kruger, KZN and a trip to an amazing beach on the Indian Ocean. The reason we were here, was to learn something more about South Africa's history. We had scheduled a day with a guide/historian to visit British vs Zulu battlegrounds. The accomodations were unique, but private and spic...

Had a wonderful stay at Isibindi. Discovered this gem by trawling through the internet. So well priced - food was fantastic. Because it is small you get to know everyone at the lodge. The reason for the trip was a visit to the battlefields something my partner really enjoys. So the weekend was a full one, with the visit to...

Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting Rorkes Drift, but could easily have stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful accommodation with private balcony overlooking the stunning game reserve. The evening cultural show of Zulu dancing was so brilliant and very atmospheric.
