We recently did a three day self drive safari. We were extremely late arriving but nothing was too much bother for Lewis and Nick. The tent was very roomy and the views over the savannah are super.Did I mention the food? Fantastic! We saw quite a lot of game but go here also for the aesthetic. This was our first... More

It was great! Perfectly safe place in the middle of the Mikumi Park. Perfect service. The tents are big, well equipped, clean and have great view on the park. Very good food. Karen, the manager, was taking care of every single detail. E.g. the fire place was ready every evening before the dinner, so before the meal you could have... More

This is an excellent place to see nocturnal animals you would not be able to ever see. They set out food at night and Cerval Cats, Porcupine, Bush babies, Honey badgers and others come close to dining area for you to watch and observe. You even get to feed the bush babies every night at 7pm bananas! The tents are... More

we went there for the weekend, though the place is quite a distance from the park headquarters, there were no regrets the minute we got there. we received a warm welcome, service was good, lovely food. i loved the idea of putting the tents above the ground like a tree top house, and also the location of the camp is... We went to Mikumi as part of a family Safari tour with Foxes and we can't say more than it was a five star service that made you feel like you were home from home in the middle of the African bush. Elephants and Zebras at the watering hole and children playing in the pool whilst watching the sunset at... More

Location I loved. The tents were comfortable, raised on platforms on a side of a hill. The verandahs large with wonderful views. At the top if the hill the restaurant, bar and pool - stunning 360 degree view. Food was simple but delicious. We had children with us - we had to keep stressing to them to stay together and... This place is great. Staff is very nice, beautiful location, you can just sit in the restaurant lounge and watch elephants, zebras, warthogs etc at the water hole. Food is delicious, and the accommodation is very rustic elegance. Definitely hope I can go back.

This was our first safari and a fantastic starter safari. From leaving Dar on the Safari Airlink who were professional and gave a great service to reaching the camp we had an amazing time. The host Karen was warm and welcoming and it felt like we were in her home rather than a camp. The tents were spacious and had... More

This a great tented camp with beautiful views. Mikumi is one of my favorite parks in Tanzania. Stayed there on way to Ruaha, which is fabulous. The staff at Foxes was attentive and very friendly. My wife and I stayed in Foxes camp in August 2010 for 3 nights. We ended up deciding on Mikumi mainly due to other more famous parks such as Serengeti and Ngorongoro were overpriced and also we had limited time and we didn't want to lose time in Dar or Arusha due to flights in between. Our guide form LEopard... More
