There’s no place on earth like Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, with its rivers and swamps attracting large herds of elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, and one of the world’s widest varieties of birds. Lolkisale Camp is situated in the heart of the park, on the edge of an open wetland. Our boutique camp is composed of 9, custom-designed luxury safari tents with attention paid to every detail.

This was our first stop in our 2 week Safari adventure in Tanzania. I can not say enough about this camp. It was clean, comfortable and the food was amazing. The staff took care of our every needs. Our first night we fell asleep to hyenas and woke up with fresh hyena tracks around the camp. Then while eating breakfast 3 male lions and one female walked right through camp!! AMAZING!! Before dinner a lone male elephant walked right by our tent! That night we fell asleep to the local lion pride roaring. We felt very safe, and were blessed to be so close to these beautiful animals. We were able to go on a night drive and then a walking tour in the morning with Topguides and their knowledge and love of the animals were apparent. I would highly recommend Lolkisale Camp, Topguides Bush Camps.…

Topguides Safaris set up the trip of a lifetime for me; Gorilla Trekking in Biwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park Uganda, Serengeti North National Park Tanzania and Tarangire National Park Tanzania. The entire trip was perfectly coordinated, from the airport transfers, the multiple flights and the accommodations. It was the epitome of stress free travel. In Tarangire, we stayed at Lalkisale Camp. The location is perfect. The accommodations stellar. The tents are spacious and beautifully appointed, the beds feel like you are falling into clouds, the food is excellent and the staff friendly, gracious and embrace you feel like family. We ate dinner outside, overlooking the plain, as zebras strolled past in the distance. We spent the evening sitting around the campfire sharing our days sightings with the other guests. Victor, our tour guide and one of the owners, has a vast knowledge of the animals, their habitat and behavior. We saw every type of animal in the park.…

My wife and I travelled with Topguides Safaris is August 2022. Our first stop on safari was at their Lolkisale Camp in Tarangire National Park. We could not have asked for a better start to our trip. Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately by almost every member of the staff and from that moment on, we knew we were in great hands. From the daily wake up calls to the delicious food to luxurious accommodations, we could not have been more pleased. A special thanks to Salim, Bius and all of the staff for making our stay so memorable!

Magical first safari experience . The camp is charming , clean and the site is lovely . The food is outstanding and our guide Michael was so helpful . They even planned a special happy hour overlooking game near the marsh area. The animal sitings in Tarangire were amazing - every 5 minutes we saw something from a Nat Geo special . Elephants cavorting in the water - lions eating their latest kill - outstanding . Dinners were alfresco by a fire . Highly recommend .

The staff made it clear we were apart of their family as soon as we arrived. Salim, Bious and Dixon became our friends in only a few days of our stay and we were so lucky that they treated us as royalty. Can’t wait to go back!

We loved staying at Lolkisale Camp! The property personnel is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable at the property from the minute you arrive. Salim is the property manager and is constantly checking on you to ensure you are happy with everything during your stay there. Dixon, the butler, is very friendly and makes all your meals even more enjoyable. This is an all-inclusive property, so a fixed menu for food is pre-selected based on your dietary restrictions. There is a nice variety of wine and liquor to chill after your long safari day. After dinner, they set up chairs around a live fire to enjoy the beautiful open skies in the jungle. The bar/lounge area is beautiful, as well as the rooms. There is wifi in the main tent but not in the rooms, which is quite fine as I was not there to connect with civilization. The rooms are quite comfortable and offer a shower inside the tent, or you can shower under the stars. There are plugs to charge all your gadgets in different parts of the room, so you will not have an issue charging your phone, camera, etc. The property owners, Victor and Elena, are very committed to sustainability, the environment and ensuring that their personnel are well trained and professional with guests. They have thought of every detail to ensure you have a great time at the camp, and you'll e supporting the local economy by staying on this property. I would highly recommend this property to all my family and friends.…

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip to Tanzania. Everyone was amazing and took good care of us. The food was outstanding and they were very accommodating to me since I don’t eat meat. The tent is spacious and the outdoor shower is very enjoyable in the evening, listening to the animals. The only issue is there isn’t airflow in the tent so it was very hot. It was cooler outside than inside the tent. But it didn’t stop us from having a great stay.

Dear Shannon. We are so glad you enjoyed the stay at our camp. We pride ourselves in our service and we are glad our team delivered as usual. We are sorry the tent was hot, but this is end of the dry season and Tarangire is hot in general. The only way to get airflow in the tent is to keep everything as open as possible. We are also glad that you enjoyed the food. We cater to all dietary preferences without a fail. Thank you again
