The last night of our 7-day safari was spent at Sopa Lodge in Tarangire...because it was Christmas, alcoholic cocktails and sodas were free before dinner, which was a nice plus! The Lodge is really lovely - spaces are roomy (including bedrooms and bathrooms - two double beds in most rooms makes this the most spacious place we stayed in), the...

Unlike the other hotels we stayed at during our recent safari in Tanzania, this room had a separate sitting area. It also had a power bar for re-charging our cameras, lap-top, Kindles, etc. This was much appreciated as we often had to scramble to find plug-ins at our other hotels. Our room had a fan but as it was very...

The room was excellent and the food was great, We stayed there 2 nights and felt really at home, Staff was very helpful and friendly. The swimming is not good for swimming laps, that was quite disappointing!

The lodge is inside the Tarangire National Park. The location makes one come to rest at a very quiet and humble surroundings after a long drive at Tarangire National Park. The rooms are through stoney paths and they are in blocks of four. We preferred the higher ones to have less mosquito and tse tse flies and a good view...

While we enjoyed our stay at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge, we felt disconnected from the wilderness that we had come to experience. Surprisingly, the food in the beautiful restaurant was mediocre at best, especially compared to the fare we enjoyed at the tent camps we stayed at. The rooms were nicely appointed and equipped with mosquito nets. The service staff...

Our room here was very dark and narrow. It was hard to move around. There was no air conditioning so it was very hot and uncomfortable. The ceiling fan was not of much help because there is no electricity during the daytime hours. We finally got a large floor fan to use at night. It is the only reason we...

The first two nights of oure big safari we spend in Sopa Lodge, Tarangire National Park. Fantastic rooms, very good and serviceminded staff. Good food, breakfast, lunch at the pool and very nice dinner. The staff in the resturant was very good. A place where we all want to go again.

A great hotel/lodge situated at the southern edge of Tarangire National Park in an idyllic position overlooking vast plains and the mountains in the distance. Lovely swimming pool. The rooms are well proportioned with no air conditioning and television. No wifi in the rooms and no telephones. Staff are friendly

A really special first night at the start of a 7 day safari in Tanzania - I will never forget it. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the food was good (except breakfast which was bland) and the staff were friendly. While sitting on the decking outside the bar after a good first day of safari we were able to...

We stayed here for one night at the start of our Safari. Lunch was served in the grounds near the pool and there was a good choice...dinner was in the large dining room and was excellent . The staff were attentive and polite and we were quite moved when the staff started to sing to the diners ...it was quite...
