I staid for ten days with my wife and it was a great experience. Bill is running the place very well and is very welcoming. Great food on the menu and happy hour every day at the bar. There are lots of nice people coming over every day to give the place a charming atmosphere. The rooms are clean and spacious. Location is very central. Highly recommended!

The Magic Sponge is an excellent hotel to use as your base for an enjoyable trip to Kampot. William, the owner, has created a wonderful atmosphere to sleep, eat and enjoy. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well appointed with good, reliable wifi. If you are looking for a good place to eat western, local, or Indian food, you will need to go only to the inside/outside restaurant and relax in a lovely garden while enjoying a good meal. William also has events--film showings, concerts, etc.--scheduled for almost every evening. There are also pool tables and miniature golf. William is a great guy who knows how to welcome guests and treats his highly efficient, well-trained staff well. He also works as hard, if not harder than anyone else here. I will definitely stay here the next time I go to Kampot.

We spent around 5 days at the Magic Sponge and it was a great time. The host is really friendly and welcomed us with a icecold drink. The rooms are pretty spacious and very comfy. You got a great working air condition, two big single beds and a nice and clean bathroom. The location of the Magic Sponge is very good and you have a bunch of restaurants around you, but you can also dine at the guesthouse. Beside the great rooms and the cool ambience you can play pool or minigolf for free (which is pretty awesome!). All in all the Magic Sponge is just a great guesthouse, which a chilled and cool host.
