We just stayed for a couple of nights. The view from the seafront heritage room, out across the sands to the Arabian Sea, is an absolute stunner. The room - which was clean and spacious - has a nice shaded verandah shared with the four or so other rooms. Breakfasts were good - it is also possible to order meals. Helpful friendly stack, with beautifully maintained garden. Easy wander around the friendly small lanes of the fishing village outside the gate, and to roadside stalls. Along the beach there is ongoing fishing activity or kids playing sport in the cool of the day. Good cafes nearby and the usual abundance of tuk tuks.
Great location, lovely local food and absolutely helpful staff. Hotel situated on the beach, really peaceful view Guys are cooking absolutely delicious local food and lassi Near the hotel is little small shop where are girl Kookoo makes the best masala chai
Perfect location right on the beach (although there is no grass anywhere as pictured above - this is a 'shopped pic), rooms are quite large but also pretty run-down and could need some paint and better maintenance. Staff was very friendly and helpful, we could even choose our complimentary breakfast off the menu and it was fine. HINT: email them directly for reservations, ClearTrip offered online booking at ~ Rs.6000 for an A/C room while the owner offered it at Rs.2500. The latter is a realistic price considering location, service and condition of the rooms while the online price was grossly overpriced an inappropriate.
Nothing else to say, this place is magic, all the staff are super kind and everything is very clean. You can join a room on the beach with all you need, the view from the room when you're waking up is priceless. Peaceful!
White Saand was one of the best places I have ever stayed. It was perfect from every aspect - location, maintenance, food, and above all true hospitality. The hosts - Vineesh and the other staff - were extremely warm and attentive. We (me, wife and kid) went in June - the monsoon season. It was just bliss to relax on their sea facing recliners looking at the rain. Add the awesome Kerala food to it, and you just can't beat it. By the way, all of this at an extremely reasonable price. Looking forward to going to White Saand again.
