We recently undertook a 16-day tour of Karnataka and our stay here was the low point in every respect. The hotel is very noisy, the rooms poorly equipped - and you won't find a single smiling member of staff. There is a dismal atmosphere about the place, including the restaurant. A very unfriendly place - stay away.

Whilst this hotel may be the best in the area but the quality is far from it. Roads leading to Bijapur are not the best and one needs to hit the sack early but this is not possible due to poor atmosphere and unwelcoming staff. Breakfast is extremely limited. If there was international hotel willing to invest they will be...

Spent one night in room 203 at this hotel. Very mediocre room. The central water heater when switched on made so much noise - jarring to the ears. Had to make a complain before it was switched off but it came on again at 6am! The only thing that worked with great efficiency was the wifi.

To my knowledge the most expensive hotel in Bijapur and room rent was close to Rs. 3800. Having stayed at Taj Mangalore for similar room rent last week, I was quite excited to know that Bijapur hotels had scaled up. With lot of expectations I reached Bijapur, and it took me a few minutes to find the hotel. You will...

Decent hotel in Bijapur - the rooms were clean, the service was prompt and the price was not that bad either. This must clearly be one of the best available options in Bijapur. Centrally located, complementary breakfast, room service, fully loaded DTH/TV channels, clean and fresh bedding and fairly decent property. The only lowlights were the absence of lifts and...

The hotel holds the best name in the city but still it dont have any lift to access rooms. The breakfast is complimentry where you can get 2 idlies and a Vada. At this cost range they can offer a very good stay . Not even a packaged water bottle in the room . The centralised AC is not contolable...

I choose to stay at Hotel Basava Residency after reading reviews in Trip advisor. The booking was done over telephone and unlike other hotels they did not take any advance payment to block my room. A Decent Hotel with Air Conditioned rooms with all the basic facilities. About a kilometre from Gol Gumbaz and about 2 Kilometres from the main...

This hotel is in the heart of Bijapur. The front desk staff is helpful and polite. The hotel has just the basic amenities. Hot water, towels, soap is what you will get in addition to the bedsheets and blankets. There is no breakfast spread, you have to choose and order from a choice of South Indian snacks or toast-butter with...

We stayed here for one night on the way from Aurangabad to Hampi and were really just looking for a clean place to bed down for the night. From what we researched the choice on offer in Bijapur is pretty slim and so ended up here. The communal areas including stairs looked like they could do with a good sweep....
