Staying at Geria Giri with Lisa and David was the climax of our trip to Southeast Asia. The seven of us travelling in Southeast Asia have stayed in multiple guest houses and hotels and we were blown away with everything that Lisa and David had...More
This review goes both for Geria Giri Shanti Bungalows and Adventure Divers, since the same people are behind both, and since for me they felt like one (amazing!) experience. So, word of warning: If you end up staying here or diving with these guys, you...More

I think I can answer all of your questions. The property is situated in the middle of the town. The 'town' is stretched out along a single road that runs along the coastline. Certainly most if all rooms face the ocean, but are in gardens and I don't think there are ocean views. The property is on the land side of the road - not the ocean side. You can access the beach through the property directly opposite - this is an open arrangement and we did this a few times. There are many bars and restaurants (mainly restaurants that serve drinks - there is not a big 'bar scene' in Amed. The property has fruit juice/ tea and coffee all day that you can have on your room veranda, at a meeting place near reception, or in the breakfast meals area. The property serve breakfast but the only other meals are quick lunches for those on a dive course. They sell cold soft drink and beer at reasonable prices (again for in your room/ balcony, or with other guests in the meeting place). Management will recommend places to eat. Some are walking distance. They will also recommend and arrange free transport to good restaurants that are too far to walk. I recommend this place. Rick
