I have returned within 7 months of my last visit. I received such a warm welcome it was like returning home. I love the no fuss simplicity of the converted rice-storage huts and the use of natural materials. No air-conditioning as its unnecessary in the cool clear mountain air. There was always a great selection of food at the restaurant including...

I stayed here for only one night, I wish I could have stayed longer! Our group was welcomed with a fruity punch drink. I met a staff member, who was very friendly and helpful in guiding me through the various parts of this beautiful property! The sunset views are mind-blowing on a clear day - it's a must but the...

We (3 adults) spent 2 nights at the Cottages. The hotels ground are beautiful and well kept. The sunset bar was not open as we were there in the rainy season, but the restaurant served good food and was pleasant. The room, however, is not very welcoming. The comfort is kept to a minimum and the bathroom not inviting either....

This is a different Bali experience. You do not need air-conditioning at night as the altitude means cool evenings. Ideal for walkers and those who like the great outdoors. Certainly not an Ubud in fact very little to do. Perfect if seeking solitude. Unexpected for us were the charming staff and excellent cuisine, being such a small place in a...

Stayed here with a group tour. This lodging is located on a high vantage point so the surrounding views are spectacular. Because of its location there are steep stairs to go to all of the cottages. The cottages themselves are rustic, beautiful, and quite romantic. We shared a two-story villa with patios, balconies, and a waterfall in the back. The...

n impromptu trip. Made a last minute booking after a business trip in Denpasar and drove to Munduk. We stayed in the standard cottage for 1 night and we wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage is a refurbished barn overlooking the paddy fields. To wake up in the morning and saw the golden sun on the paddy fields...

The staff, the food, the gardens and the views were all excellent but the hotel was let down by the rooms. The rooms are tired and require maintenance; the basic rooms are small and dark, with a bathroom down steep stairs and the more modern rooms, although much more comfortable, are in need of upgrading. The bathrooms are very strange...

Dear Lizzie Worcs Worcs, We apologize that your expectation can not be fulfilled with our facilities. Our basic concept is conservation our ancient heritage such as our cottage ( hard wood, almost 100 years old ). It was abode of Wisnu ( storage for rice paddy ), therefore we did not modified to deep, in order the ancient character is...

A return visit to this great location after an enjoyable drive from Seminyak and through Ubud. Driving here is not for the faint hearted but it is good fun and a great way to see more of the island. The cottages are quite basic with only cold water showers but the small balcony overlooking rice fields is idyllic. They have...

This is a place where you can meditate and just relax. Very calm atmosphere, fresh temperature, rooms are OK. The restaurant is very nice, perhaps they should make effort on their food ?? lack of taste.

We stayed 3 nights in a Villa which offered amazing views to the north including a distant view of the ocean on clear days. The room was spacious and clean and more than adequate. However it was not fully sealed by design and sleeping under a mosquito net seemed to add to the experience. Whilst there not appear to be...
