The staff could not have been more helpful or supportive when they find out I was ill and had a sleepless night. From giving me extra healthy food off-menu to offering a very late checkout so I could sleep, thank you thank you thank you! Oh and the place is stunning!

My wife and I spent the first week of our honeymoon here. We arrived in the early hours of the morning after a very long flight. On arrival we were handed hand towels fresh from the freezer. Now this might not seem like much but the temperature difference from the UK to Bali

Dear Bradley L, Thank you for describing your recent honeymoon experience with us with such clarity, it truly Makes Our Day. We are so happy that you enjoyed a great room experience with outdoor shower and garden to great Artisanal breakfast experience to ofcourse the World famous Infinity Pool. The entertainment evenings, cultural festivals, movies on the edge of the pool etc are all a hallmark of what we do at the resort to showcase the true cultural spirit of Bali and we are glad you had a great time enjoying all. Cycling indeed is a great way to see the beautiful paddy fields and it can be quite steep sometimes but thank you for calling us and I am happy that the team sent immediate support. Thank you once again and me and my team looks forward to welcoming you back home soon. Warm Regards Hemal Jain General Manager

If you are staying in Ubud, stay here now. This space, staff, food, everything was absolutely above and beyond. Be prepared for monkeys at tea time, but fairly entertaining. May not even need to go to monkey forest after the ones at the hotel :).

Had a repeat visit at the Alila Ubud last week and it was once again excellent. I can recommend either the deluxe rooms or the valley view villas. The regular superior rooms in the upper floors might have better views though and the deluxe rooms are on the lower floor with a

Some hotel deals include a complimentary meal. Food excellent and good value. More expensive than restaurants in Ubud. Drinks less than UK prices. Taxi to local Warungs. Research before you go. Watch out for plastic pollution if you go to beaches east or west. All menus online at hotel website

There is evening entertainment ranging from movie screenings to special dinner buffets w/ live music & dancing. The monkeys do not bother you. However, do not leave food out on your patio/balcony—because the monkeys will think it’s for them & will not leave. And it’s probably wise to keep your doors shut when you aren’t in your room.
