We had to make an overnight stopover in the city of Obihiro to catch a bus that would take us up to Lake Akan to go skiing the following day. A friend in Hawaii recommended we stay at the Hokkaido Hotel and so we booked one-night in a family suite that included a in-room onsen. We were supposed to do...

This is a nice hotel with an Aeon supermarket and shopping centre within walking distance, so there is no short of amenities nearby. It even comes with a chapel near the lobby (used for wedding purposes), and it is really nice. Room is fairly basic but clean, and windows that can be opened, which is a personal choice, really. The...

Though it's quite a distance to the train station , the hospitality in this hotel is unremarkable !! Outdoor Onsen is great too . The staffs are friendly and helpful . I would love to stay in this hotel again if I ever visit obihiro again.

I'd like a hot spring for this hotel. The room in this hotel is clean, but the equipment is a little old. When a restaurant is in the hotel a little more, I'm happy. I think the garden lit up is beautiful.

We stayed 2 nights. Our room was new and spacious with wonderful onsen in the balcony. Western breakfasts, especially the fruit puffs were good too. The staff were helpful and nice. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel

Excellent hotel with Onsen facilities. Staff are well trained and it shows in their omotenashi (Spirit of hospitality). There will be staff accompanying and assisting you from the lobby until you have reached your room. For Onsen facilities, there are jacuzzi, outdoor (roten furo) and normal ones. The room I stayed in were a mix of hardwood and carpet. Crisp...

This is the 8th hotel I have stayed in on this trip to Japan and the third in Hokkaido. The rooms are nice with hardwood floors and a nice deck (that is covered with snow now). The rooms are nicely appointed and the beds are adequate but not great. Pillows in Hokkaido hotels seem to be stuffed with rocks! Not...

For me this is the best hotel in Obihiro friendly staff even when English isn't widely spoken. Very comfortable and big rooms for Japan. Bars and restaurants are good but no wifi in the rooms which is a pain. Best bet for food is to head into town.

A well located hotel near the center of town. It has good parking facilities and the rooms are large, although the bathroom is small (with the door to the bath/toilet area banging into the door of the sink area each time). Nice little terrace as well. Staff very kind but my Japanese is non-existent and no one spoke English. I...

We 3 persons stayed here. You can find Mcdonald and convinience store and very large super market(Aeon) near the hotel. The hotel has a mol onsen (outside onsen also). the onsen water is red and has some strange ingredient. We enjoyed onsen. The supper included in the hotel price has too small quantity, but breakfast buffet has many choices and...
