We initially were not happy with our room and the staff changed our room for us without us having to beg and plead. It was refreshing for them to go out of their way to change our room to a much nicer one. I understand that sometimes a hotel can't, but when they can, it makes a huge difference.

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The location is convenient to restaurants, State Street and the Farmer's Market. However, we will not stay here again. We plan on going back to the Madison Concourse the next time we're in town (didn't have a room for us this time). The room was small and the carpets were worn. There...

It is in great location to State Street along the way to University of Wisconsin. On a scale of 1 to 5, and 5 being excellent, I rate this hotel location and quality at a "5." The staff were very helpful, and I felt comfortable at this hotel.

We stayed at the Inn on Park for Taste of the Midwest. It was a nice area and close to the Farmer's Market. It was also within walking distance to resturants and bars. We had a nice stay, but the room was expensive and the elevator didn't go up to the 9th floor. So, we had to walk through the...

The location is fantastic and that is clearly the best feature of this hotel. The rooms are dated and a bit tired. Breakfast in the restaurant (not included) was average and the service was poor (slow). The most frustrating thing was the very noisy air conditioning and plumbing systems. I was part of a group and several of us complained...

Darryl, I appreciate the feedback. Based on guest comments we've made it a priority to eliminate the noise from our heating and air conditioning system. This is something we are actively working on and will resolve very soon. Thank you for taking the time to post a review. It truly does make a difference. -George

This is an older hotel with a great location but is overpriced for the amenities and ambiance. Staff is very young and unpolished. No help offered or provided for taking luggage to and from the room. Be sure to pay extra for a room with a view.

I only stayed at the hotel one night. It was a bit expensive for an old hotel. The decor was dated, kind of 1980s and the room was slightly grubby. There was no free breakfast and no guest laundry. Valet parking only. It was in a good location next to the Capitol and the park but not sure that made...

I appreciate the feedback about your stay. I'm sorry to hear the air conditioning in your room was not working as it should. I hope you will visit again so that we may give you the extraordinary service that is our goal. Sincerely, George Wiesner General Manager

This hotel is located right by the state capitol and within walking distance to all the downtown eateries. We had a room on the top floor that boasted nice views of the capitol and was nice and clean. They offer free valet parking, but breakfast is not included in the room rate.

Loud music if you get a room over the bar. Parked car with valet, as they do not have self park options, and than found the car in a parking lot next to hotel. Had to ask them to move my car to inside valet.

Dear Susan, Thank you for visiting us from the great city of Denver! Parking in downtown Madison can be a challenge and we are happy to provide complimentary valet parking service to our guests so they can park once and move about town on foot. Most of our parking is indoors but during the summer months we do take advantage...

There is no better spot to be in downtown Madison than the Inn on the Park. Perfect location!! My only problem is that we paid much more for a "view". And, believe me, the view is spectacular....the problem is the windows are so dirty you can't see well and certainly can not take photos from the windows. I was very...
