This place is beautiful but it's Tom and Dana's hospitality that makes it a treasure. We got married while in New Orleans. They made our honeymoon even more special. We will definitely be back for an anniversary trip. The cottage was wonderful and the hot tub is a great relaxation treat after many long days of walking. The honesty fridge...

We stayed for 3 nights at the B&W courtyard and it was great! We got a heartly welcome, a lot of good tips for sight seeing and concerts and finally breakfast was outstanding. We only can recommend to stay there and enjoy the hospitality of Tom and Dana. Got there and enjoy it!

Looks like a workshop from the outside but the rooms are quite normal! We had the Front Carriage room because of the warning that fountains might keep light sleepers awake (in fact they didn’t seem very loud). (Points to the hosts for mentioning this on their website.) We were worried that the road would be noisy but it wasn’t a...

My husband and I stayed here for one night but wish we could have stayed many more. The B&W was the perfect choice for us. It was in a really nice location, close to the action but not in the middle of the craziness. We stayed in the 2nd floor suite. The bed was comfy, shower was amazing, it was...

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our road trip. Tom & Dana where fantastic hosts. Giving us lots of useful information about the area. Provided local drinks in a fridge using an honesty box, which was a lovely touch. Very substantial breakfast, comfortable and spacious rooms. We didn't have a fridge in our room which would have...

Truly a wonderful spot! Great location tucked just out side of the craziness of the French Quarter. Dana and Tom were wonderful and truly accommodating hosts. They sent a wonderful list of places to see and eat before we arrived that really helped us plan our trip. We arrived early at 9am and Tom was there to great us and...

You will get a wonderful feeling of enchantment when the gate opens! Our hosts, Dana and Tom were so welcoming and knowledgeable that it really made the experience delightful! We stayed in the back carriage house and the fountains were like sound therapy. The hot tub was spotless and worked wonders on our aching backs, and the bed was superb;...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
