The hotel lobby is breathtaking, old world. Unfortunately, many of the rooms are tiny and loud. The newer section is much better. Hazardous valet situation with iffy service. No easy way to get your own luggage from street level when bellmen are not to be found. Guest services go out of their way to make your room comfortable. Stay away...

As a Waldorf hotel, which is the top tier in hilton hotel line, this hotel didn't disappoint us. Beautiful lobby area in Xmas season, classic room decoration, and the most important part-their fabulous restaurants. Before jumping into the room, I have to emphasize how delicious the food this hotel restaurant offers. Beignets, the must-try french dessert in NOLA. Believe me,...

Great hotel - however, if it's Mardi Gras just know that you cannot get access to your hotel if you are away from the area. They block the streets and make it difficult to get to the hotel and the cabs refuse you service. You need to be prepared to walk and in some instances long distances.

We had an excellent stay from the initial valet parking to check out. The rooms were beautiful and extremely clean and the customer service was very appreciated. A plus..we booked a deluxe room and was upgraded to a suite because no more deluxe rooms were available. Walking distance to Canal. Hassel free hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

I was in town to attend a show at the Saenger Theatre. The check in process was easy. I picked my room from the app. The bellmen were timely and attractive. The hotel is assessable to everything & very cozy. This is my second stay at this hotel and look forward to my next stay in July.

Central location, just off canal, close to Bourbon if that is your thing. We had 2 Queen Superior, spacious with separate sitting area. Questioned cleanliness, very thick dust on vanity lights, bathroom floor had ?spots?, after all is New Orleans, not known for its cleanliness.

The location is awesome & overall experience terrific. Even the gift shop items were more competively priced than those in the French Market. Rooms were nice & the staff friendly & accommodating. Will go again.

Really nice hotel - comfortable beds and very good location. Away from Bourbon but close enough to rest of city. Check in was some what odd Booked thru SW vacations and the gentlemen who checked us in was a bit rude or arrogant. Hard to describe. Not great on the hospitality or warm welcome. It was a social trip not...

Our first time to stay here. We knew the location was great and always enjoy visiting at Christmas time so we thought we'd try an early Mardi Gras experience. I booked the room under my name and on my credit card. Check in was long and we were surprised by an extra $100 a night deposit for "incidentals" no one...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
