Easy access to transportation on trolley on St. Charles. Lots of choices for dining within a few blocks. About 5 blocks from WWII museum. Charming breakfast room with delicious breakfasts. Outdoor courtyard with banana trees and fountains. Interesting and colorful rooms at good value, and very helpful staff. We were so pleased.

This hotel was juuuuust right. We were looking for a quiet, comfortable place, away from the St. Patrick's Day craze. What we found was this lovely B&B with a large, comfy room (Mansion #2), delicious breakfasts, and a courtyard where we could hang out with our relatives who were traveling with a dog. The kitchen staff was especially helpful (&...

My wife wasn't happy at first that I didn't choose to stay in a hotel. But we both loved it! Colorful, safe, and relaxing are 3 words that we felt. We think our bed had memory foam so it felt like home. Bread fast was yummy, and we loved our hour long walk around the historic neighborhood.

The Creole Gardens is conveniently located just a block away from the St Charles streetcar. We found our room very quaint, comfortable and clean. The grounds are inviting, well kept and safe. Welcoming staff. Overall a great experience.

The staff was super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The decor was fun, colorful, and artsy. There was a lovely courtyard with a relaxing fountain. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, including biscuits on one morning. I think we were in room C9 which though small was big enough, and the memory foam mattress was awesome. Free parking and being 1 block...

I am from the West Indies and I grew up in a house just like the creole gardens. So, when I first got there, I was instantly transported to Haiti, the vivid colors, the backyard, everything reminded of my childhood home. The people there were amazing, I did not care much for the breakfast, but I surely enjoyed my talk...

We stayed at this cute B and B last week and it was adorable. Great fountain with tables in the back to relax in the morning with breakfast, or just chill later in the day. It's great respite from all the action in the French quarter. Kevin, the general manager was a doll, super helpful, gave recommendations for dining options....

Our first stay at Creole Gardens was for the 2017 Hogs for the Cause charity cookoff. Creole Gardens offers the opportunity to visit with people from around the world, in a home-like setting The location is superb for those who enjoy walking, but the streetcar is handy if you need it. So much to do in the area, most within...

My boyfriend and I visited the Creole Gardens during the final weekend of the 2017 Mardi Gras. The location was perfect for our needs, as a great number of the parades were literally one block from the guesthouse. If you are looking for the Ritz, this is not your spot. If you are looking for the genuine New Orleans feel...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
