I found my stay at Creole Gardens very cozy and the hotel staff very friendly. Our room was cute and distinctive, exactly the experience I want when I stay at a bed & breakfast. I visited the weekend post-Isaac and didn't have any issues except breakfast wasn't being served, so I can't comment on that. The dining room did at...

We stayed 4 nights at the Creole Garden b&b. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they even called the day before and the day of our arrival to find when we would be arriving to greet us. Our visit was about 2 weeks after Hurricane Isaac, and the b&b was still having staffing issues, so during the week, there...

I have never written a review here before, but I wanted to let everyone know how wonderful the staff was at Creole Gardens during hurricane Isaac. I live very close to the Creole Gardens, and have never had a reason to stay with them before, but during the hurricane I needed a place to stay as my entire block was...

We read the reviews before selecting Creole gardens and expected a great place. Granted we stayed right after the storm, and the power was out the day before we got there, but back on. Our room was dirty, the floor was so dirty we could walk barefoot in it without having to wash our feet off. The ceiling fan did...

Our front desk person, Keith, had told our guests before they arrived and again when they came, that due to Hurricane Isaac, we would be offering only limited services and no cooked breakfast during their stay. He also offered these guests free housing if our power wasn't on. We did serve coffee during our regular hours while these guests were...

We visited the weekend after hurricane Isaac hit and half the city was out of power, boarded up, or otherwise covered in downed tree limbs and debris. Nevertheless, the staff at creole gardens got in touch with us the moment their power was back on. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, even though I'm sure they were a bit overwhelmed with...

Creole Gardens was there for us in a time of need. We live in New Orleans with two large active dogs. Because of Hurricane Isaac our power was off for several days. It wasn't that hot by NO standards, mid 80s with 90% humidity (at midnight). We were miserable and sleepless, dealing with the heat and anxiety. Luckily Creole Gardens...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Creole Gardens when our electricity was knocked out for several days due to Hurricane Isaac. This place LOVES large dogs, which is rare to find! The room we had was quaint and made us feel right at home (we live in an 1800s shotgun ourselves). Keith and Cathy were more than friendly and...

They made it like home away from home. My son and I stayed in cottage 9 with our dog and we loved it. It's close to a dog park and we walked pretty much everywhere we went from the aquarium to Kim J's. (great gumbo-kathy's suggestion!) I will stay here again.

I was supposed to stay 3 nights but I did not make it past one. I was very turned off by the city as we drove looking for the hotel, it seemed like a rough area, but later I realized it was not, it is just "New Orleans" We picked this hotel as we were traveling with 2 dogs, in...

Bringing our teen to college at LUNO was a delightful experience thanks in no small part to our stay at Creole Gardens. Kathy and Keith could not have been more gracious. Our room was a gorgeous mix of Caribbean colors - I felt like I was staying in artwork! Actually, the entire B&B feels like artwork, giving a true Naw'leans...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
