Location can't be beat! We stayed here from 3/10-3/13/2017. The owners (Chuck and Butch) were great. Chuck came down to the courtyard to tell us about the building's history and chatted for a while which was fun, he also gave us some tips on "local" preferences for food and a few clubs to go to (all good info). The property...

It's been five years since our last group trip to New Orleans, and our fourth stay at the Bon Maison. Now, having just completed our fifth stay, we can't wait to return for our sixth. The property was every bit as good as we remembered, and we were given a warm welcome by the hosts. The location just can't be...

We arrived at the Bon Maison for a visit to New Orleans. The greeting from our host was poor. He seemed to be preoccupied with other 'events and people' when we arrived and during our 5 day stay. Although the courtyard is a nice feature, the room itself was filthy. The tile in the shower floor was crumbled. The walls...

The place was just okay. Needed a thorough cleaning. If I walked barefoot, I was constantly wiping stuff off of my feet. Dust ruffle on bed was visibly dirty. Corners in bathroom visibly dirty. Cheap towels.

I love this place. Every few years, I come to New Orleans with friends for a week's vacation. I come because the food is so good. And we always stay at Bon Maison. It is home. It is our home in New Orleans. Butch and Chuck are our family in New Orleans. And we couldn't be more comfortable. The location...

Four of us stayed in two rooms for a long weekend and loved it. Chuck the owner is friendly and super accommodating and the rooms are very clean with quality antique furniture. The parakeet cage on the side of the comfy courtyard is a great touch too. As others have noted, the location is within a comfortable walking distance to...

The location is perfect! It's just a couple blocks from the action on Bourbon St and within walking distance of Frenchmen St. The building and courtyard were gorgeous, and the room had what we needed. It's so handy to have a fridge, micro, and coffeemaker. The owner was very nice, but he never asked how our room was.If he had,...

Was not disappointed with the Bon Maison. The building is gorgeous, rooms are comfortable and the owners are wonderful. I am so happy we booked with the Bon Maison for my 30th birthday, the hospitality was fabulous. Couldn't have asked for more!

For a birthday/anniversary/friends union, my husband and I met another couple in New Orleans. Our friends recommended Bon Maison to us because they had stayed there before. We could not have been happier with the location, room, kitchenette, and garden patio. We met a group vacationing from Canada, spent hours playing cards in the courtyard, but the real treat was...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
