Because I was heading out for a cruise the next day, I stayed at this hotel very near the cruise docks. They had a free shuttle over to the cruise which was nice. Luckily I was upgraded upon arrival to this gorgeous room in the old building. You could see that it was refurbished. The room was very large and...

We stayed at this HI before our cruise. It was a perfect choice. They offer a free shuttle to drop you off at the cruise port Returning from our cruise, our flight didn't leave until late at night, so HI was so kindly able to pick us up at the port and allow us to store our luggage in their concierge...

The hotel is busy located right in front of the convention center. It's about 10 minutes from the beginning of canal street. The street that it's on takes you straight to Harahs casino to play some slots. Make sure to bring walking shoes forget about fashion for your trip. The hotel breakfast was great consisting of a veggie omelet, sausage,...

Charming building and location in the Warehouse District. Short walk to most major tourist or business areas of the French Quarter, docks or trolleys to the Garden District. Breakfast was plentiful and varied from day to day. Courtyard pool was private, sheltered from traffic, and had an overall "cozy" feel to it. The only amenity lacking would be a shuttle...

My stay here was EXCELLENT! Everyone is so welcoming and helpful...it maybe that southern charm! And hands down the complimentary breakfast was the best I've had as it relates to "complementary breakfast." I'll definitely stay here again!

We wanted to give this property a 5 Star rating but the longer we stayed the more we were disappointed. The hotel is a 15 minute ride to the French Quarter, convenient to the Convention Center and the RiverWalk with its restaurants, stores and trolley. You can walk to the WWII Museum and Arts District. The room was clean and...

Friendly and accommodating staff. Most seemed to really enjoy their jobs. They made my stay easy and pleasant. The only complaint I have is that my air conditioning unit made noise and disturbed my sleep.

The room and the breakfasts are everything I have come to expect from a Hampton Inn. They have an outdoor pool in an closed patio, but it is not heated. They have a bar with a very friendly bartender who makes great drinks, and HHonors guests get a coupon for a BOGO. On both Friday and Saturday nights this place...

Nice property with good staff and grossly overpriced parking. Use on street or the Fulton St lot. The renovated warehouse rooms are s treat. The add on Hampton rooms are average. Stall showers would be a modern improvement.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
