The hotel is pretty nice, across the street from the casino. :) The best part is that it is sort of outside the French quarter but very close to the trolley cars so you can get to French quarter or garden district easily. The only issue is that there isn't a very good coffee shop nearby. And mother's restaurant is...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

My wife and I planned a trip to NOLA for our anniversary with another couple. We were staying in the French Quarter and woke up in the early morning hours to several roaches in our bathroom. It was around 7:30 A.M. and I called American Express Platinum Services and asked if they could get me a room immediately. They found...

From Alvarez at check in; the spacious & well appointed rooms; to the bar (including great live music with indoor/outdoor ambiance) and the amazing bartender Darien it was a wonderful experience. The icing on the cake was the personalized attention by the chef Ms. T. Harris on what I should order for dinner was outstanding!! Thanks le Meridian & AMEX...

My husband and I went to the French Quarter Festival, April 2017, and stayed here for the first time. I am in love with the location of this hotel. It is in the perfect spot. Located on Poydras and St. Peter. A view of the river, walking distance to everything awesome about the quarter and not as loud as Canal...

My girlfriend invited me for a last minute, much needed girls' trip. New Orleans is so charming but we almost had to force ourselves to leave the property because we were spoiled rotten by the staff! First of all, this hotel has the BEST products I ever tried at a hotel! They are not watery or too harsh and they...

My husband and I took a weekend trip with our fav couple to New Orleans. The plan included a day at the pool. The pool at this hotel is super tiny and the area to layout is awkward and small. The rest of the hotel was great, nice size rooms, amazing staff and we loved the locked courtyard we were...

The people here hold customer satisfaction at the highest level. Kevin, the host in the lobby, is the example for all to replicate. His welcoming demeanor and truly empathetic attitude keeps me coming back to SPG, but also the fine city of New Orleans. The hotel should be named after him! Great ambassador!

When traveling back home solo I like try different places if a deal, so decided to stay here the second time in about 2 years. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
