The Drury Inn and Suites was a great pick for our recent trip to New Orleans over Easter break. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. The valet was worth the extra cost and the car was always waiting for us. The hotel is in a great location we were able to walk to WWII museum, aquarium, the French...

We stayed (ages 73,70,48,18,16) for a long weekend and it was one of the nicest, friendliest hotels. Between the location, short walk to the action and the unbelievable snacks at night. This place is a real hit. Above average breakfast, make your own waffles, variety of donuts, biscuits and gravy and fruit. Night time was pasta, salad and drinks, soda, beer and...

First off thanks Ailiya (front desk, bartender) for being absolutely a wonderful person and so helpful when you really didn't need to. You went above what many other hotel employees would do. Mr.Pat you need to give this girl a raise! The hotel was a few short blocks away from the center of where the action is. Been to New Orleans/French...

We had a great stay at the Drury in New Orleans. The 2-queen suite with a sleeper sofa was perfect for a family of 5; the free breakfast and happy hour allowed us to splurge on one special meal/day in the city and not have to worry about the other two. The hotel was within walking distance of the French...

We were very pleased with the choice of Drury for our quick visit to New Orleans. Drury is one of our go to hotels because of their service, comfort and amenities. This Drury is a great location for anyone wanting to explore the French Quarter. It is a short walk away from all the restaurants, bars and iconic venues that...

I gave this place four stars because the rooms are huge, affordable for New Orleans, and relatively quiet, although we did have kids in the neighboring room scream and run up and down the halls. There's no baggage service to your room, no restaurant, no bar, and no room service. However, it was just remodeled and there are free drinks...

We stayed at the Drury for spring break with 3 kiddos. The breakfast and dinner served our needs very well. We loved the popcorn and pop snacks too. We walked to the aquarium, insectarium and French quarter on the fiesta day, had a swamp tour pick up on the 2 nd and made our way to the zoo on the...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
