Location is great for walking access to French Quarter and many restaurants. Free parking saves on valet fees. Super friendly and courteous employees/owner. Stayed in the Bird of Paradise Room which was very quiet and perfect for both us and our two dogs. Highly recommended.

The Inn is on the edge of the Garden district and only a 10-15 minute walk from the Convention Center. There is a coffee shop and a bar adjacent. It's a 30 minute walk to the French Quarter. This is an extremely comfortable, hospitable, and pleasant place. Frank, Jessie, and Gage are all super nice. Guests need not worry about...

This is a wonderful place to unwind in the Garden district of New Orleans just a few blocks from the cable car to the French Quarter and Lafayette Square. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are extraordinary, you can't be uncomfortable in this Inn. On Magazine Street, with a gated lot, in a quiet part of town. Within...

This is the second time we have stayed here and both Frank and Jesse made us feel like family. The location is great, it is within walking distance to the WW II museum and both the trolley and hop on/hop off bus. Lots of shopping and eating places along this popular street in the lower garden district.

We've stayed here 2times this year, (2016). Can't say enough about the ambiance of this nifty little tucked away B&B. The pool area is private, and the distance to public transportation is fantastic. The rooms are small but having a private bath is a definite plus.

Tucked away on Magazine St. is a nifty little hideaway that I had no idea even existed. The Green House Inn is a mansion that has been converted into a lovely little "bed and breakfast" style hotel. The bottom floor has a large sitting room and leads to an outdoor patio and pool area. The upstairs is where the rooms...

The location was great, just out of the main tourist area and close to the Garden quarter. The room was not large but we found it spacious enough. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. It was lovely to relax and unwind in the hot spa. Don't expect a varied choice of food on offer for breakfast, however there...

The Green House Inn is truly one of my best finds in this city of wonders yet. Tucked away in the Lower Garden District, right on Magazine Street, the GHI is the perfect getaway. You're two blocks away from the St. Charles Streetcar, a ten minute ( approx. $7 ) Uber ride from the French Quarter. The Inn is all...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
