Would love to stay here again when I'm in New Orleans. The hotel is big and neatly decorated. The location is at the corner of Canal and Bourbon street which makes it ideal for going to different restaurants, bars and what not. The rooms are fairly large compared to other hotels in the same area.

Professional and friendly staff. Perfect location, walking distance to a lot of amenities. Stayed in a standard room, very clean and the bed is comfortable. iron and ironing board in the room, which is a plus. The only thing is that the room does not have windows that open for air circulation, there's zircon but still the room becomes stuffy....

If I could say anything bad it would be because of my own lack of knowledge ....... parking is hard to get to if you have a car. And drop off of bags is hard in front on Canal street because of the small entrance. Otherwise this is a great property right on the corner of Bourbon and Canal I...

Maybe a better room would have helped our impression of this hotel. Maybe. The lobby was nice and employees were friendly but we noticed long lines at the check in desk several times. We were given a small King room with a view of an abandoned, run down lot and the backside of a parking garage. The bathroom was not...

Spent two nights through Valentine's Day. It was my husbands surprise present to me since I always wanted to go to NOLA. It was right at town everything is on walking distance which is helpful because their valet parking service is very very slow. We waited 30 minutes to get our car. And almost 20 mins when we were checking...

We really enjoyed our stay here. The front desk, the concierge, and the bellmen were superb! Very friendly and courteous. Great location with the streetcars right outside the front door! The only slight drawback was the noise from the elevators near our room. But we understand it is an older hotel. We would stay again

The hotel is an IGH membership which is Holiday Inn so that explains a lot. I was definitely scared after reading the reviews. We had a deluxe double room as far away from the elevators. No fridge. Beds were firm and creaky. Pillows were comfy. Blankets were basic. My husband noted that it didn't have that bad "hotel" smell. We...

The location of this hotel is wonderful, on Canal Street between Bourbon and Royale, backing up the French Quarter. The lobby is nice and well-maintained. The staff is New Orleans friendly, a real compliment. My problems with the hotel are a little bit petty, but I expect better from properties which purport to be better hotels. My room was good-sized...

I waited over 4 hours for my room even though others checking in after me got theirs. I was supposed to have balcony but did not get one. It scared me that the window was nailed shut. The servers for our conference were outstanding as were other hotel personnel.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
