Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Astor-New Orleans is an excellent hotel. Perfect location to go out during the day and see the city and then at night you exit the side door and you are right on Bourbon Street. Very clean and safe place to stay.

Location is convenient and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Some rooms are much smaller than others, so you may want to clarify when reserving your room the size and age. We were on a business trip and although one credit card was to reserve all rooms and be used for all

Are there adjoining rooms at this hotel?
I do believe that there are..I don't know if there are any of them though..when I stayed on the 3rd floor, my friends had an adjoining room at the end of the hall.

We didn't have a car while we were there. I believe there was valet parking.

any parking ?
It's all valet parking. There are other places where you can self-park but I'd advise against doing it unless you want to haul your luggage through the crowds downtown.

"Ask for higher up rooms."
