Charming home-away-from-home in historic part of town. Lovely house, beautiful furnishings and impeccable Southern graciousness by owner and staff. Near St Charles Streetcar and sites. Perfect place to "experience" New Orleans hospitality.

Charming old South Mansion..14ft ceilings ....period furnishings...ample breakfast with helpful staff...communal breakfast table provokes tips and ideas for the visit....one caveat if you have trouble with stairs book the annex...Otherwise as spouse said, I'd hate to have to dust all the beautiful things.

We had no issues with safety. We did take the street car down town and back and found it fabulous. The Street car is the best way to experience the culture of New Orleans and is inexpensive.
