This hotel is located about 15-20 mins walk from the French quarter. A great choice if you want to be in a quieter area but close to a lot of restaurants and activities. Hotel is ideal for staying with family. Concierge Tracy helped us arranging local tours and giving us advice on places to eat. Rooms are very good size...

Loved New Orleans, just the music, street life and restaurants are worth it! A very pleasant Marriott hotel, very spacious rooms and bath and reasonably priced. Coffee and tea but no bar. Good location, 15 mins walking distance from the French quarters and marina, a pleasant walk and no safety concerns. We were a family of 4, and were all...

My husband I are here right now! Came here after our cruise. Very close to the port, and in a great location for sight seeing. The rooms are huge, and very modern and we'll done. The hotel itself has an art gallery, and is beautifully decorated. Rooftop pool and hot tub, gym, a coffee shop where you can get beignets...

We spent 3 nights at the Renaissance Warehouse District over Christmas weekend. It's a very nice hotel with an excellent staff. From check in, the staff was always pleasant, courteous and anxious to help with any concern. There was occasional noise in the hall from other guest and one evening noise from a loud singing group on the street. I...

The light in the entry didn't work and I reported it to the desk clerk but it was never fixed. Other than that the hotel was nice. The complimentary drinks at the bar were nice, Location was within of walking distance of everything.

I recently spent 5 days at this hotel and could not have been happier. The property is small enough to feel intimate and yet has the amenities of a large hotel. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A historic setting, contemporary style, and a unbeatable location near New Orleans' French Quarter and in the heart of the trendy food mecca of the Warehouse District: all of this and more elevates the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel to an unforgettable New Orleans experience. Our building is a former warehouse, dating from the early 20th century; we've preserved a sense of old-world elegance in our surroundings, while simultaneously infusing a thoroughly contemporary sense of convenience and art. Please note that our restaurant is currently undergoing renovations and we look forward to unveiling a stunning new restaurant to our guests in early 2015. For now, we recommend that our guests enjoy the many amazing New Orleans dining experiences within a short walking distance of our front doors, such as Cochon, Emeril's, Root, Tommy's Bistro, and many more. Our Navigators will be delighted to help you discover the best possible cuisine during your stay in New Orleans. ... more   less
