This is a time sharing type of property. It was for the most part a very clean and well kept establishment with excellent location for the value. The staff was excellent and everything in the room was operational. I have been to NOLA 20+ times over the past 20 years and this is one of the best hotels I've stayed...

To begin with, this review will only cover Unit 401 at the Quarter House. I can’t speak for the condition of any other unit. But I can tell you the condition of our unit was not good. The frustration stems from the Quarter House website that calls this “Luxurious French Quarter Accommodations”. Our unit was anything but. Had the expectation...

I think the single best selling point for the Quarter House is location. Two blocks from Bourbon Street and steps from Canal Street, the hotel is very convenient to many destinations. The second best feature is that I found it to be a great value for housing multiple people in the area (especially for its quality). The building is old,...

I booked the Quarter House through an Interval International week and could not have been more pleased. The location is STELLAR, and has four bars and a restaurant on the same street. You have to have a room key to even get into the property, which made us feel safe. We ended almost every night at the Backspace Bar, which...

Typical of New Orleans the building is right on the street requiring you to unload quickly and go park in the garage down the street. So, pray you get a bellboy to help you, because entrance requires you to lug the cart up a curb or walk down to the handicap entrance. Once inside, there are 2 buildings, so make...

Great location, as others said, walking distance to everything, Jackson Square, Riverwalk are an easy walk from the hotel. Found Jimmy Js to have the best breakfast within steps of our front door. Acme Oyster shop and Ruby Slipper are just a couple blocks away. We were on the 5th floor, no road noise, the room was very quite. We...

Stayed here for a week in January. The location is awesome, walking distance to Jackson Square, outlet mall, St. Louis cemetery, lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. Recommend Daisy Dukes, a couple of doors down for breakfast, great pancakes, and Oceana Grill for dinner, fantastic crab cakes. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The only complaint I...

This was our first visit to Quarter House and it was nice. Having stayed at Club La Pension on Decatur in the Quarter I knew the general area. Very convenient to restaurants, attractions and Walgreens. I read the reviews before going and was a little leery. The only negative thing I read and experienced was the NOISY garbage pickup at...

Very spacious, and would be great for a large group. Very well-situated, near everything but quiet. No windows in the bedrooms made it pretty dark and airless. Living room windows did not open. Felt pretty claustrophobic. Not enough light, even lamps were dim Staff was friendly. It was clean.

I purchased this timeshare several years ago and wasn't expecting much, boy was I surprised. The staff is excellent and the location is walking distance to all the quarter attractions and even the convention center if you don't mind a little trek. The style of the rooms creates an ambiance lost long ago and takes you back to the time...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
