That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered to be the very best of New Orleans culture and tradition is, put simply, just how people go about their daily lives in this historic part of town. As one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods and among the nation’s first established residential areas for free people of color, Tremé’s significant heritage and contribution cannot be understated. This is especially the case when considering some of Tremé’s most famous residents, most notably jazz great Louis Armstrong. For full flavored food, funky and jazzed up music, and vibrant street life presented with homegrown pride, you can’t beat a visit to Tremé.

Staff were very accommodating. Location was very good. Close to French Quarter but not in the middle of the activities. Would recommend for families or couples.
Breakfast was good with choice of fruits, breads and waffles.

Fun trip, first time visit, will return. Brought our daughter to New Orleans for her birthday being as her husband is currently deployed serving our country. Thank you for your service and we will be back when he gets home.
Eleven of us stayed in this hotel, which is perfectly located a ten-minute walk away from the bustle of Bourbon Street, for two nights last summer and had a fantastic time! Having laundry facilities and a kitchen was particularly important but the added bonus of...More
As with all of NOLA you must be careful and stay in well lit, busier areas late at night. This street is pretty busy so you're ok and only a few blocks or 4 minute walk from Bourbon. After 2 am I'd be especially careful... More
