Just visited NOLA for a friends weekend. I had messed up my reservations at the Intercontinental across the street where all my friends were staying (it was sold out) and the director at the Hilton was lovely enough to help me get us a room. We didn't spend much time at the hotel but the bed was lovely and the...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 2 February 2017

Had a weeklong visit to NOLA and could not have felt more welcome. After a little difficulty checking in, the manager, Val handled things beautifully. I stay at this hotel quite frequently and the ladies who work in the executive lounge, particularly at breakfast, make us feel like family. The executive lounge is phenomenal and is one of the main...

Great location and Hilton service. The hotel was very busy. The Street Car goes right out front and it was a 3 minute walk to the French Quarter. Parking at $42 is a bit night, so I parked at one shell building just west of the hotel. Would stay there again for sure

Our family went to NO for a quick 2 night family getaway with only plans to eat and rest and maybe do some sightseeing. The Hotel is nice and welcoming. However our stay fell below our expectations which where nothing more than a clean comfortable room where everything was available and worked as expected. Room was clean, nice big windows...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
