We have vacationed in New Orleans several times, but we never felt more at home! If you want a cookie-cutter hotel this is NOT for you! I called in July to reserve for September and was immediately taken with the owners. Ironically the owners were on vacation when we stayed there but we absolutely ADORED their substitute innkeeper, Debbie. We...

Let me just start tattling on myself because I literally cried when I had to leave the Banana Courtyard! My husband and I decided to take an extended weekend down to New Orleans to watch a Saints game. Let me tell you how excited I was when, by a sheer stroke of luck, I ran across the Banana Courtyard on...

Very happy with our stay at Banana Courtyard! The owners Mary & Hugh were very helpful providing information, and overall very kind people! The house is one of a kind, if you want to feel like you are in New Orleans, then look no further! I recommend this B&B to all!

This was my first trip to New Orleans. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Banana Courtyard, in both the Hexagon and Balcony Rooms. It was a great choice. The location is near-perfect, right on the edge of the French Quarter. They have secure and convenient off-street parking. The house is beautiful, and filled with strange and lovely things (old...

I know there is A Lot to read on this website, which is the trap that I fell into. I didn't read some of it because there is so much. My friend and I wanted to see the city before we embarked on our cruise so I found this site and fell in love with the cottage. I reserved it...

We apologize for this misunderstanding. If she still feels that we should not have deducted the cancellation fee, we will be happy to refund that ALSO. After more the 16 years in business where more than 50% of our guests come back and/or refer freinds, colleagues or family to us, we are very sorry that she feels our reservation AND...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
