Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Stayed for 3 nights on St Patrick’s Day weekend. Beautiful hotel. Great amenities, though we didn’t use pool as it was too cold outside. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful. Service was friendly and even as a Hyatt Explorist we were treated well. Minor inconvenience

First, the positive. The staff, food and service overall were good. Not extraordinary, but attentive and what one would expect from a franchise/chain hotel. What made this business/meeting trip so difficult was the absolutely HORRIBLE Internet service. It was difficult in my

The hotel is in a great location. The breakfast area is really nice and you get a great view from all the windows. The room was a big size compared to a lot of other hotels. Not too far from anything and definitely within walking distance to most of the tourist attractions and

Thank you for your question! All of our rooms are suite-style, which means that they are generally a larger floor plan; however, the Hyatt Regency does have upgraded rooms our size. We are connected to the Hyatt Regency via a walkway, and are about a 1-mile walk (15 minutes) from the Convention Center. Thank you!
