We were very disappointed by the start of our honeymoon, which began at the bourbon hotel. Our room was at the end of the hall, with our window being completely blocked by machinery of some sort which made our room very dark, even during the day. Additionally, directly above our room was a storage room for the convention center and...

Nice hotel and convenient to walk anywhere in FQ, or to grab a taxi. We had a petite balcony facing St. Ann Street, so we had the ambiance without the Bourbon Street noise. A little pricey compared to other hotels further from FQ, but the convenience and atmosphere was more than worth it. (This review applies to the hotel and...

Everything about the Bourbon Orleans was just right - the staff was helpful, but relaxed, they accommodated my request for a quiet room, and the room itself was very comfortable (including the ambient jazz music when I walked in). The meeting facilities and food were great and I appreciated how the breakfast was different and delicious each day. Finally, as...

My wife and I had a three night stay and it was a really great. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Martin who took us to the front desk and really blew or socks off. Ask us what we were celebrating and treated is like we were royalty. The room was nice, clean and quiet(pool side). Staff...

Being from the New Orleans area and now coming in for business, this was like my very own apartment with full service. The valet parking is worth every penny. When you stay here you feel like royalty.

The service was outstanding. They treated us as family. They were very welcoming every time we had contact with any of the employees. The rooms were very comfortable and the location was the best that you could ask for within New Orleans

We stayed here in December and they had the special Papa Noel rates. This is the best hotel location, between Royal and Bourbon, directly behind St. Louis Cathedral. During our stay, they had hot apple cider or hot chocolate available in the lobby. Such a nice touch for their guests. I also had a small plumbing issue and it was...

This was our 2nd stay at Bourbon Orleans and we will stay here again. It's location just behind St. Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square is an excellent one and suited our needs. The rooms are spacious, especially for the French Quarter, and are well appointed. We requested a courtyard side room, which I understand are quieter than those that face...

This is a great locale in the French Quarter. Nights are a bit loud, but that is not the hotel's fault, it is the French Quarter after all and many folks come there to party. The room I was in was a great corner room with a spacious foyer that was great for socializing.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
